So I guess the original battery only puts out 8 amps. I put in one of my molicel p26a which can get up to 25 amps and have been getting much better results then with the original battery. You think this is a bad idea? I haven't had any issues yet but have only been using the molicel for half the day.
Be careful here, a 18650 cell (it's not really a 'battery' since there's only one) can put out serious current into a low enough resistance load, but if it's not rated to do so self heating will rear it's ugly head. Reduced lifespan is hopefully all that will happen but it could get real hairy.
I don't know that vape, so can't comment past 'more capacity is better'. I accept your observation of 'much better results' but don't understand how that could be. The vape sets the current needed, the cell can supply that 'with no sweat' or not but heat delivered to the load should be the same? In a perverse way capacity to deliver high currents is a trade off in cell design. If you want more mAh (and who doesn't) it has to come at the expense of current ability.
