Apartment lease says no smoking. What’s the best dry herb vaporizer to get for two people?

Just to clarify, I was talking about a bong sized glass piece or a j-hook. I don't like those small sipper bubblers.

If you're vaping throughout the day (tolerance etc.) having something plugged in that doesn't need to be charged is convenient; not discreet though since it'll be sitting there like a headless lamp.

For heavier use something with a glass vapor path and swappable stems lets you enjoy flavor without as much clogging and cleaning. For example I use a Tinymight with a j-hook or a Splinter Z (now discontinued) with one of several cooling stems.

I'm not the biggest water user. Still, I'd expect that would be a less irritating option for your wife if it wasn't too inconvenient for your setup.

I have a small room sized blue air carbon filter purifier. Sometimes I’ll just use it too and exhale right near it. I did that on the occasions I was vaping flower. It worked well enough.

Fellow apartment dweller here.
Unless you live in a thin-walled building, or have super uptight landlord/neighbors I don’t think you need to limit your choice because of smell. A few precautions should do the trick.

Out of curiosity, what happens if you get busted? They going to throw you out of your lease, or is there a fine?

And I think it is against the law to prohibit people from smoking or vaping in their own home.

Not that you asked me but answering anyway All of my past leases have prohibited smoking. I can be kicked out if I break lease and have to pay for cleaning.
My current one does not mention vaping specifically so I think I am in the clear, (right? I hope I’m not deluding myself! Ha)

Exactly! This has worked wonders for me.
I have one in my current apartment, and I exhale toward air purifier (2-3 ft away max) and I have never had it seep through door, etc.
This way, I can still see the vapor (unlike using a smoke buddy), and I’ve found myself staring at it go into air purifier on many occasions

I also always close or turn away from windows so smell doesn’t drift out to other apts.
And while vapes definitely smell while using, vapor dissipates so much quicker than smoke, so it doesn’t linger for more than an hour or two.
It was impossible for me to keep smell at bay in Apt when I used to combust.

You have tons of great recommendations from others, no need to add any additional ones.

From my own experience, my smelliest vapes (in current rotation) are:
Pax (worst, but still able to manage), Crafty/Mighty (you can see the vapor pour through mouthpiece, which also can be mesmerizing) and to a lesser extent Miqro/IQ2.
I do not find an issue with my Rogue/Edge (same as POTV One) which is rare for a session vape.

Of course, an on-demand vape never leaks vape in-between hits, so that would be the easiest to control smell.

Type of bud can make a difference too, light and fruity strains like Blue Dream are way better than some danky OG Kush or Gorilla Glue (as much as I love em).

I have a Dyson purifier/fan that has a auto detect feature which I dig, face it toward the window usually. Also run a couple others 24/7. Half the battle at my place is door cracks and vents.

I agree about the Fury Edge, pretty clean bake, mine is getting old and lately been ramping the temp too much. Probably a good idea not to run the vape over 198c/390f if you don’t want that burnt smell imo.

ps: My current lease also only references “smoking”, unlike other leases listing vaping I’ve seen/signed.

If you get busted you can always say a fib that you were cooking weed for budder, which is halfway true! Edit assuming your in a legal area

I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my S/O who does not enjoy the smell of weed. I use an air purifier and Onagel to take care of the smell.

What I do is poke holes in the lid of the Onagel and place it on top of the purifier as it has a fan blowing upwards. I leave the purifier on 24/7 and only place the Onagel on top when I am vaping, because the smell is less than desirable. Overall it pretty much does a solid job at taking care of any smell. Air flow is really the key part here.

The best advice is to be smart and have a game plan...be safe!

Now that i am writing this post it suddenly reminded me this one time that i bought some sort of cheese strain and actually smelled pretty bad.

I’m not sure how it all works in DC.

I was renewing my card at the Docs office once and a guy was there and he said he only got a card so his landlord couldn’t complain about his large grow. I don’t know if it would work or not. The guy has a three bedroom large sqft row home and was raising six large plants (could be problematic), i think maybe in the home and outdoors. What’s your yield”? Another guy with close to six lbs a year. Maybe that’s rude like asking a rancher how many heads of cattle he has i I believed him but never asked about odor coverups. That was dumb on my part.

There is something about haze… although I’ve had purple haze that was skunky.

On storage, currently have 20 or so strains in decent lock jars out on shelf for viewing lol. I have one jar for the most danky of dank bud that actually has tinfoil on the inside of lid that works well!

Also as mentioned with the EQ and a oil diffuser, I have one of these that I put lemon grass oil in. Be careful on the oil selection since some can even intensify the weed smell.

if money isnt a big issue here, i would recommend buying a Carbon grow filter, with an adjustable speed dial on it (or some even have apps on your phone these days) such as the TT inline fan, This would eliminate the risk of odors spreading to neighbors or hanging around and should last for years when you are: opening a jar of cannabis or grinding/preparing it or even vaping it

It wouldnt be as effective if you tried to filter smoke though, smoke has very very tiny particles as well they will go through even HEPA filters and not be captured

The one that i use is Austin Air, purchased 23 years ago really for my newborn daughter; her mother's apartment had terrible air from close proximity to JFK airport and lots of car and bus traffic producing soot, and being right above the building's laundry room, if you can imagine the steam from the dryers wafting up into her apt. Not ideal for a brand new respiratory system. So I searched around for the best one, price wasn't an issue, and through usenet newsgroups (don't know if that even exists anymore) I found someone who was a local distributor. Not sure it was ever really used, unfortunately, but eventually when they both moved out of state she gave me back the air purifier which I soon realized was a godsend to me. Not just to clear out the pot odor, but keeping it on low all the time maintains clean good air in the apartment. Or if I smoke up the apt searing a steak, etc., running it on high will clear it out in 2 to three minutes. I recently replaced the filter, it was $200 but it's good for 5 years of continuous use.

Prices have gone down, there's maybe better brands now, i have no idea, but an air purifier should end your concerns and upgrade your quality of life.

I should’ve mentioned this but it’s a studio apartment so if I were to get a air purifier it would just be for that or maybe the bathroom if people think I should vape there. It’s where I use my POTV One

Not just money (my Silenced Phresh kit with carbon filter was over $1000) they are also huge, well over 4ft long when assembled.
The purifier that @Jill NYC linked seems like a great better looking and cheaper alternative.

I wouldn't worry about it. Vapor doesn't leave much of an odor at all. Plus, I've lived in plenty of apartments that didn't allow smoking, and it's not like we ever followed those rules. Never had any trouble.

That's what I believed when I moved in my condo until old ppl started complaining about the smell, my windows were opened not even intentionally blowing outside.

If you vape with a fan or even nothing it disapates relatively quickly.

In my collection, the MFLB produces the least amount of discernible vapor, as long as I don't combust a trench (bowl), which is almost always due to needing to clean it. Inside the apt it's barely noticeable. If your bathroom has a vent opening the pot smell could travel to other apartments so the bathroom is not ideal, but probably a non issue with vapor. An air purifier will dissipate any worries.

Vaping oil carts will produce zero smell but I personally don't like oil, some people prefer it. Halfway down any cart, it starts bothering my throat.
Most of the oil carts are fake, your best hope is finding a good fake.

So get an air purifier and enjoy relaxing in your new apartment.

What’s the best dry herb vape to get that both me and my girlfriend can share. We are both high tolerance and been smoking joints for years. She cough off joints so I know vape is going to be even worse lol.

Budget is $150-160. I already have POTV One and it’s good and all but the battery is not that good and not enough for 2 people.

looking for something that has good flavor taste and can get us both high.

I've read through most of the replies to your question, but I go back to your first post.

It almost sounds as though you are not calling the POTV One a dry herb vape? Someone recommended you get one and there you go, you have one. It's just not suited for two high tolerance people? I get that, but there's smell from vaping that POTV One, you understand that, and so if two people do it with a bigger vape, it will simply smell the place up more than that.
For a vape in budget, maybe a Fury Rogue? It's very similar to a One, but bigger all around, about $160.
And yes, there are some that with some gyrations, can be less smelly than that one. Some are in the posts above.

But it is not going to square with the requirements of the lease, nor can it be used without some smell.
I think the guys who are suggesting live resin carts are on to something, maybe those are available? They do make small amount of smell, but it dissipates very quickly. Smell is stronger than with distillate oil carts, but it is a different extraction method used in making it more a full-spectrum kinda thing, and without the fake flavors they add to the oils.

Yes, get a nice vape, use it outside. And often!

Totally agree - I either close my windows or if open, make sure vapor is going directly into air purifier. Blowing out the window allows the vapor smell to move to other apartments very quickly!

Ha! Yeah, I am judging the lack of smell lingering based on leaving and coming back a bit later, like walking my pup. While in it, no way of knowing smell is gone unless someone new enters. I am always hyper sensitive of what hallway and apartment smell like when I re-enter.

Yeah, you can base the size of AP on how many square feet your studio is. The bigger the air purifier (by bigger, I mean sq foot capability) the less careful you need to be about blowing directly into it.
I have mine on end table next to the couch where I most often vape. I leave it on all day and barely notice it’s there until it kicks into high gear when sensing vapor. I clean the filter once a month (I’m lying, I SHOULD clean it that often, but probably more like 1-3 months between cleaning).

that's true of course but we can still discern the difference from the hallway into the apt.
when the police officer moved in next door i freaked out, it was a total stressor to me.
like.."what am going to do? what am i going to do?"
the air purifier fully alleviated any worries.
i even became a little friendly with my neighbor and it was never brought up.
