Sigh, don't remind me. Avs should've done more to resign Stastny, he was more than willing to stay with the Avs, they just didn't want to meet his contract demands.
The central is so stacked it's ridiculous.

the Avs knew that if they kept Stastny that it would handcuff them later when they need to sign McKinnon and some of the other young players. McKinnon is going to be the top player in the entire league at some point in the next couple to few years. that kid is incredible. he is going to get paid!

See, this is where the debate comes in. Sakic never made a huge effort to get a deal done with Stastny, As much as Holmgren got shat on before he got fired, the one thing he knew how to do is get the most out of his assets. We could've signed Stastny, and in a few years down the road we could trade Stastny to a team of his preference. It probably wouldn't have been a huge return, but it would've gave Mackinnon another year to develop before throwing him into the #2 C role.

yes things are very tense here in STL right now. lots of protesting and swine in riot gear. its a police state in ferguson right now. people are being arrested for only being outside. its nuts.
and all the white people wanna talk about (im white myself) is how horrible the rioting and looting is (it is wrong), but dont even want to talk about the innocent and unarmed 18 y/old kid was shot in the back while running away. fucking trigger happy nazi cops... they are fucking animals. how can they honestly expect respect from someone who they constantly treat like shit?
the cops left this kid lying in the middle of the street for 4 hours after he was killed... 4 HOURS! unacceptable!!! the racism still prevalent today blows me away. how can anyone believe that an entire race of people are just naturally bad people. fucking insane!
and all i hear is how terrible the looting is... depressing to say the least.

thanks, @wunderkind one of my favourite movies also. as well i have quite similar features to jeff spicoli and have taken on the spicoli nickname around friends parents since highschool

ive heard rumors that this wasnt really even presented to the blues, but who knows.
yeah most Blues fans are aware of it. you see it pop up often on Blues forums.

Haha I know everyone hates them but I grew up in the 90's so the Blues I know and love always wore red. I have fond childhood memories going to games wearing one just like it. My grandma used to work for Wetterau and they always provided tickets to every event in town. Blues, Cards, monster truck shows, Ringling Bros, etc.
