The Blues really shit the bed last night. Can't say I care that Elliot is gone, sucks that it's due to injury. Never like to see players injured. I would be upset to see Berglund go but if that trade is a possiblity I would love to see it happen. It would be cool to have Brodeur in the team. It is a few years too late though. A good mentor for Allen to have though.

I highly recommend it, especially if you admired or heard about those entertaining Soviet teams. They brought hockey into the modern era. The KLM line...Tretiak…the Soviets begat the Edmonton Oilers & beautiful hockey.

Much of the movie sees thru the eyes of Slava Fetisov, an interesting man, to say the least.

Red Army reminded me that the Soviet system was developed from scratch by Anatoli Tarasov, who was purged & replaced by the hard ass, dictatorial Viktor Tikhonov.

[There was a recent espn 30 for 30 - Of Miracles & Men - that covered similar ground]

Is Red Army up for an Oscar? I’m out of that loop.

Vladi will miss tomorrows game, but is expected to be back before or by the playoffs. Steener should be back tomorrow.

i hope Jake Allen gets the nod in net for the POs but i doubt it.

Lindbohm was sent to the AHL for playoff "seasoning". they are in their playoffs now. he will be back when the NHL playoffs begin.

now i hope to see Bortuzzo in the lineup instead of Gunnerson.

quite a few Blues fans are already talking about who the coach will be next year. lots of hitch haters out there. lots want him gone asap. i havent totally given up on him yet, but dan byslma is available. a young offensive minded coach may suit this blues team better.

hard to say. hitchs system is solid, but he def does some strange stuff. i know stastny is not really excited about the slew of players that were his linemates this year.

even with hitch this team is def deep enough and talented enough to win it all. BUT if we stumble again this year in the post season he is gone.

this is NOT the same Blues team from recent past years. in fact its a considerably dif team from just last year. and we DO have an elite goalie. Jake the snake Allen.

with all of our added depth... we are poised for a nice long run this time around.

the key with vladi and steeners return is not breaking up the oshie/stastny/schwartz line. that shit is magic. but you gotta put lehtera and vladi back together for sure. maybe steen/lehtera/tarasenko...?

then you got berglund/backes/jaskin (or jaskin/berglund/backes) for a third line and the fourth line stays intact with reaves/goc/ott.

im feeling damn confident we are AT LEAST getting out of the first round. regardless of who we play.

this team is far dif from last years. and with the way Snake has been playin... we are in good shape.

looking like we start wed or thurs. whos it gonna be?

unfortunately i had to sell my tix to last nights game. i will be there tomorrow though. if Bortuzzo doesnt play i will be soooooo pissed.
