Damn ive seen just ab everything on netflix tv show wise but i itts too much info for me to rattle off..

If someone names a show ill know all ab it but i cant remember all the shit i watched..

Should have made a blog or something

I totally agree with Psych. It is especially good to watch with Twin Peaks returning (as, of course, is Twin Peaks itself). Especially the sundry Ray Wise episodes, including the full-on Twin Peaks Psych episode, Dual Spires.

Just gave Twin Peaks a run through for the first time (Before my time when it aired originally; half way through the series, I heard that a few more episodes are coming to Showtime... so that's neat!) I'm getting nostalgic and kind of want to take a drive out towards Snoqualmie Falls now...

Where, exactly, is Twin Peaks supposed to be located? Is it next to the BC or Oregon border?

Netflix didn't have Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, so I had to find that one "elsewhere". Quite an interesting watch. I missed no Lara Flynn Boyle! WTF!

My new employer just recommended I watch the documentary "Evergreen: The Road to Legalization" and I was initially hesitant (as someone who voted against I-502) Well, I needn't have been, the documentary is amazingly fair in its presentation of pros and cons.

Series-wise, I'm totally hooked on House of Cards at the moment. Kevin Spacey is in his element as a conniving congressman and is matched by his maybe equally as devious wife played by Robin Wright. If you're interested in political posturing or think there might be a lot more to how DC works then it might be up your alley.

Twin Peaks was shot in North Bend and Snoqualmie. However, if you pay close attention to the relative locations of Twin Peaks and One Eyed Jack's (which is over the border in Canada) the fictional town is actually farther north. Like maybe in the northern Snoqualmie forest. [Note: My sister did extensive work on Lynch in film school so I just ask her these questions and she knows the answers. She lived in Northern Washington for some time and now lives in British Columbia over the border].

For others who have recently discovered Twin Peaks the cast is from almost everything - Ray Wise, 'Mr. Palmer', was also the Devil in Reaper, a primitive Vulcan in ST:TNG, the bad guy in the 1st episode of Burn Notice, and a recurrent priest in Psych; Piper Laurie (Catherine Martell) was in what seems like almost everything in the 70s & 80s, like Breaking Point, the 11th Hour, Carrie, The Bunker (as Mrs Goebbels) and Macbeth (as Lady Macbeth); Peggy Lipton was in the original Mod Squad; ANd nearly the entire cast appeared in Psych.

Weirdest of all, Pete Martell is Erasherhead himself. So arguably the weirdest character in American film history is also the dude who said 'She's dead, wrapped in plastic'.

And if you have never seen Erasherhead, I can only say watch it and be ready to FREAK OUT. Here's the trailer (full video on Netflix and Amazon).

EDIT: Don't know when they pulled it, but Eraserhead is no loner streaming on Netflix. Just DVD.

Just finished Marco Polo. Really enjoyed it and anticipate the next season. I'm not sure what the critics say about it, but I thought it did a good job making epic Asian martial arts stuff more approachable to a Western audience, as much of it is told through the eyes of a westerner who finds himself in Kublai Kahn's court.

For what it was, I agree and enjoyed it also.

The show probably suffered must from the comparison to Game of Thrones. But for fictionalized historical drama, it was worth my time.

But I am a sucker for period costumes and such. My wife had me glued to a British drama about a goddamn department store because I enjoyed the sets and costumes. Oh! And that one about midwives! My wife gets mad at me when I call it a "gynecological drama". I pretend I can't stand it and read a book, but yes, I'm watching

Has anybody watched the White Queen series? Just saw it on the list yesterday. Also interested in more Asian military epic stuff if it doesn't assume I understand peculiarities of Asian cultures better than I do. Some are so visually stunning but impossible for my western brain to follow.

frequencies (2014)

even though its sci fi and certainly left reality a few times it touched on the concept of how much of an impact we have on each other via our emotions, words, touch, etc. i felt it could of been deeper but still liked it, worth a watch. hashtag edibles.

I enjoyed Frequencies, I feel like such a Netflix aficionado I've rated over 1500 movies and shows so far meaning I've seen over 700 in the last 4 years just on Netflix. Don't get me wrong there are so many things I am still uninformed on many of the popular shows, I tend to go instantly to whats indie.

I really recommend Sliders, Darknet (TV Show), Vampire Knight, Knights of Sidonia, B Gata H Kei (Yamada's First Choice), Welcome to the NHK (Anime), Nick Offerman: American Ham, Trevor Noah: African American, Chris Porter: Ugly and Angry, bo burnham: what (Stand up), Taking of Deborah Logan, Plus One, History of Future Folk, Upside Down, Safety not Guaranteed (Movie)

I think I will limit myself there otherwise I will be creating pages.

For those who like documentaries/science shows: Your inner fish. A very well done 3 part series. Five stars.
X2 it's like the biologists version of the cosmos. I had to read that book for class. The videos are awesome.

harmontown (2014)

dan harmon (creator of community tv show) goes on a tour for his podcast after being fired from community. its clear that the real community is offline and he locates some of it. quite the exposing of self and lots to relate to...gotta keep a high eye on this as he goes from documentary to mockumentary at times so you go from deep thoughts to the giggles quite fluidly, it was occasionally blurred to me so will rewatch it later (i probably laughed too much if that makes sense).
