I have combusted 3 times already in the last week of ownership, I like to heat the middle copper ring above the thermal battery. if I go any lower it will combust, but if I heat the middle copper ring ABV will be too light. if I heat between the thermal battery and the middle copper ring it will also combust. any help?
How long is it taking you to get to the click? Based on what you described, I'd say use a smaller flame/less powerful torch.

Try holding the flame slightly further away or turning down the torch a bit, if your combusting you are most likely heating the battery too quickly. I try not to heat any faster than a 30 sec click on the battery, the lowest i would go is around 25 sec.

You can try testing your flame length/technique by installing an empty chamber and time the heat up while aiming for a 30 sec click, set your flame around an inch long maybe and see how quickly that heats up.

What kind of hit you looking for?

This chart should help give you an idea of some heat up times to aim for then you can fine tune it to your liking

If you have a smaller lower powered pocket torch that CANT get the thermal battery to click in 30-35 sec (note: you will not be able to RTL)
Dark roast/Thermal battery = 45-50 sec (great vapour production with great flav) ⭐My Fav⭐
Med roast/Center oven = 35-40 sec (good vapour production with great flav)
light roast/Top ring = 25-30 sec (less vapor production with amazing flav)

If you CAN get the thermal battery to click in 30-35 sec (ie. Blazer firefox ) i would recommend these heating times
Ride the line (RTL)/Thermal battery = 30-35 sec (great vapor production with minimal flav)
Medium roast/Center oven = 20-25 sec (Great vapor production with great flav) ⭐My Fav⭐
light roast/Top ring = 10-20 sec (Good vapour production with amazing flav)

Within the month or so I’ve had this -

I’ve gone from being blown away by one bowl and struggling to clear the entire RTL hit in one bong breath

To being able to clear an RTL hit in one breath and doing 4 of them in a row before going to the supermarket

Time for a T-break? Most definitely. That .2 bowl can’t come soon enough

Does anyone else experience their tolerance creep up with this thing?

And thanks @seki, I appreciate your fair and objective viewpoint in regards to the supreme. Let’s hope that one day I’ll have one in the rotation as those baller vapes don’t quite appeal to me like a big hunk of metal heated by big fire.
I have the same problem but it's only been 2 weeks!.2 bowl, extended mouthpiece and the gold heat cover look lovely!

Not ideal if it increases tolerance, one of reasons I like Dynavap is because it tends to keep your tolerance low. I might have to actually use more will power instead with Anvil then.

Yeah, like I’m sure others will disagree but this is not a tolerance management device for me.

My tolerance stays around the same when I would use my DV’s, but Anvil noticeably raises it. Running it through glass especially, that has JACKED my tolerance haha

Did Vestratto say what time their 4/20 offerings would go live? I’m anxious to grab a green heat shield, xl mouth piece, and a .2g bowl. Oh and an O ring replacement kit.

Edit: I’m also confused about their option to add shipping protection? How does that work? @Vestratto @Whiff
Well, whatever time it’s after 8am est.

Come on guys, even stoners do their best shopping on the morning commute.

Ps-half bowls are back in stock. High Troy and Jerry found half bowls to hold .05 while full bowls held .07

Curious if this is accurate when sober. Any one check?

Hmmm. That's what I used, too. Mine has a more general brownish discoloration, but it does have some darker spots that are distinctly shaped. One looks sorta like that one on yours, although yours also looks a little like an abrasion of the SS. Does it look like the steel is rubbed away, or is it a surface mark?

I would assume it's ok, but I'm sure there are others here who know much more about it.

I would be very curious to hear a explanation about this also...I dont have those spots but only use the cheap SB Honest torchs but have been considering others including the PB-207...

I haven’t checked yet, but according to John it should be:

Full Bowl Capacity 0.1 grams (At a Reasonable Pack)

Half Bowl Capacity 0.05 grams (At a Reasonable Pack)

I'd be surprised if it's the torch itself, it's really a pretty standard torch in use with a tight but not pin-point flame, powerful but nowhere near the bigger torches.

Edit:
Mine does this when I’ve used lower powered torches and held them close to maximise power.
There we go!

Yep. I read that too but I don’t have a half bowl to measure.

Was planning to grab one today along with some other 420 anvil goodies whenever the shop updates.

If the difference really is a mere .02 I guess I can simply hold back a tiny pinch lol

I find the half bowl really good for hash, the weight numbers seem minimal but I’m finding them pretty different depending on how you use.
