Considering I won't be able to do a video review I will write it my opinions of my sample unit.
So mine was a white model, this model does discolor over time, very unappealing. It is a lightweight vape that is the size of the Fury (however AMB is much lighter). Upon further inspection, you'd notice the overall design just resembles the Fury; the 6 holes on the bottom for air input, the smooth rubbery feel on the body, the herb screen, and the oven chamber feel very Fury inspired. Not a bad thing and kind of understandable considering how well the Fury line was received. I've previously used the Fury and its clones so I will try and give comparisons of this device to those devices throughout this write-up. The screen is near impossible to read in daylight and feels very cheap surrounded by bezel and plastic. The buttons are clicky but maybe its the plastic section they seem cheap and only the power button has a bit of a wiggle..
Micro USB is at a reasonable spot and it feels like the unit could do passthrough. From my experience, it doesn't, it will start but seems to have issues and may just end the session out of nowhere if it is still on the charger. The included USB cable is kind of a jokes length but I guess its enough if you don't have such a common cable already around. Charge time is definitely very fast but from only 20 minutes of usage, I'd kind of hope so. I've never had it take more than 30 minutes to charge to full and I can see you getting about 10 sessions if the temp is kept under 360. If it's past that I'd honestly expect less (3-6) unless you're ending the sessions early.
The mouthpiece is okay, not great by any means but it isn't the worst I've seen. The swivel flip piece is a bit hard to pull out sometimes since its a very tight space. The magnetic connection is nice but I honestly prefer friction fit design but this isn't a problem. The mouthpiece does get warm/hot over time, like within one session above 390F I can find the mouthpiece itself to be a bit warm on my lips. Normally this was an issue on these hotter days outside, inside I never really had too many issues until it was back to back sessions.
I have also tested the water pipe adapter and think it's a solid design, very basic. Has 14 and 18mm spot but I didn't feel it was the best fit on my 14mm and I didn't get to try it on my 18mm piece but I'm sure it would have felt a bit grippy in that as well. Both mouthpieces use silicone with a simple metal hole screen like the Fury. I have felt the design restricts airflow too much and opted for a screen rounding over in place of the silicone and disc screen. That makes airflow wider and really allows for easier and faster very production in my experience.
The usage is pretty basic and has been covered here enough, but I will discuss how I preferred to use it. Very similar to the Fury as well I would just turn the unit on and start drawing near immediately. You can see the glowing kanthal and the heater is strong enough in seconds (less than 10) to produce some good vapor, especially when you widen the airflow. I turn the unit off mid hit because as the chamber reaches temp the kanthals power dies down moving the vaporization mode into more of a conduction hybrid focus. I've found higher temps will keep the heater glowing longer and past reaching temp. That delivered some scary thick vapor, I am quite confident you can combust using my method as their vape isn't smart enough to regulate the kanthal coil but instead focuses on the temp of the oven chamber. I have also gotten extremely heavy dark abv using my method on low temps so even more confirmation that it is not regulating the coil itself during that stage.
Taste is China.. Its pretty average, I will say the kanthal coil makes the herb flavor not as popping and enjoyable in the beginning and overall. Compared, the Fury had silicone which made the unit taste bad when heated past mid temps like 380F. With use I found the Ambit background flavor to dissipate, but the Fury 1/2/clones background flavor never went away for me just lessened but was still not great. Sadly both devices just don't have that clean flavor I expect with a lot of the American vapes. But for 60-80 dollars and considering its China it's expected and fine, I've had worse vapes so these are acceptable.
Production is definitely killer, I'll repost my video below and it will remain unlisted but using my way I get vapor quick and its dense enough to be mistaken as combustion. As a throwaway vape, starter vape, this is something that I feel is recommendable. Personally, I prefer this over the Fury but also suggested people save money on Fury clones like the Shift instead of spending on the Fury. This is the same price range as clones and the only reason I suggest someone not to get a clone is for CS. All things considering I feel this is a better purchase for a throwaway/starter vape than the Fury as the bang for your buck is greater and you will still have CS available for you.
This video doesn't really show the max potential for the vape but hopefully helps some interested in footage.
