The Crafty's top temperature is 410°F. There is no lowest setting, so that would be room temperature I guess.but I understand the crafty is programmable (with a cell phone) to a much wider range of temperature. Right?
Not sure, but I know that Puff it up has it for $169, and they have the updated units I believe. And does vapor nation have the updated units with the software?
Huh. I didn't know there was a new version. Their website shows no changes, and I couldn't find report of this anywhere. Could I get pictures? Also, where did you order it from?I just got one of the hot off the presses units, and it came with a usb cable and usb charger, instead of the wall wart charger. Fit and finish seemed improved, and the logo was more subtle. Does anyone know if any internal improvements were made to this generation? More robust heat sensor? Better battery life?
Where did you order this from? Because their website doesn't show the new changes.Forgive the poor photo. The unit's edges appear less sharp than before, too, but I could be mistaken.
Hopefully the people at goboof don't hate us too much for nitpicking over their silent improvements.
Hey guys, I need help deciding between the goboof alfa for $169, or the crafty for $319, or the mighty for ~$370. I'm worried about the vapor quality and reliability of the alfa, and the crafty is very expensive. What do you guys think I should do? Thanks!
I got this new one from GotVape, and they had mentioned there being a slight delay in my shipment due to waiting for a new batch.
Yeah haha, you've convinced me to pull the trigger on it from puff it up. I just contacted randy to see if he had the latest model, I'll order it either way from him, but I was just curious.I would contact them and ask, first, if that is very important to you. The vape has always been incredible, so no matter what version you get, you will enjoy it. Not that I blame you for wanting the refreshed version. Go for it.
This is why manufacturers hate forum hobbyists. A normal consumer would see a product, like it, then buy it. But when people notice little changes, now their entire previous stock is undesirable. Everyone wants the newest hottest version, even if the improvements aren't vital. Then they get calls and emails asking if the one they are getting is the newest, and what the changes are, and if they can get that, when all the company wanted to do was quietly stay competitive and offer improvements.
It is me. I have become the problem. I am so ashamed.
But I've also sold this vape hard, because I believe it's an amazing product, and have gotten many to pull the trigger on it, so there is that. Double edged sword, and all that.
Just got a response from him, he said the new batch will be arriving by wednesday hopefully, so he'll have them at some point soon.I'm so glad to hear it! Don't worry, even if you don't get the usb option, you can pick up a cable with the barrel connector off of amazon for under ten bux. And then, of course, plug it into whatever usb option you have, though the charger is set at 1A so you might want to stay in that limit. I don't know how usb voltages work, and if any usb device can take the 2A max that some usb chargers put out.
You are going to love it, especially at that price!
I'd go with the pax 2Won a $50 gift card for VapeWorld, now its the decision of buying an Alfa for 169, or a Pax 2 for 229

I just had a very interesting call from a man with a great pedigree in portable vaporizers. He tells me he is now creating vaporizers for his new company, goboof.
What he had to say was very interesting: unlike his previous products, his new one, the Alfa, is battery powered. It's very small and very simple to use, and although it's conduction, he says they've worked hard to ensure that herbs keep their flavour. He said at the moment it's a flowers-only unit, but they are working on an adapter for use with oils. They are also working on water tool adapters and water tools.
It also has some pretty unique features such as a "puff sensor", which can either turn the unit off if it's not being used, or even increase the temperature automatically depending on how many puffs you've taken.
Also it is made in the UK! Parts sourced from Europe, final assembly in Northern Ireland!
Obviously I haven't seen it yet, but he is going to send me one to have a look at. I'm reserving judgement, but he did help create the first portable vaporizer, and it looks and sounds cool. He says it will be released first in the US, then Europe, hopefully both before Christmas. He aims to retail it for $200 US, or €140 EUR
