Seems you came in on the middle of the thread. Was referring to a previous comment. But, thats OK, Im Slowly getting used to the change in Sensitivity of folk these days !(think it started when the Manbun came into fashion, actually I think it was the Manpurse, lol)Inserting your take on "wokeism" out of nowhere on a sub about vaping. I'm hear to learn about a vape. If I wanted to read a cranky old guys rant about the state of world I'd be on Facebook.
Man purse!?!? THIS IS A SATCHEL!Seems you came in on the middle of the thread. Was referring to a previous comment. But, thats OK, Im Slowly getting used to the change in Sensitivity of folk these days !(think it started when the Manbun came into fashion, actually I think it was the Manpurse, lol)
As Alice said, "we're not in Kansas anymore" !
I’ve had one in my cart for a few days now (it’s hard to justify the shipping cost for one $10 item) but I was worried about the rubies getting sticky.the ruby tube from vgoodies review.
dang it, there is one draw back- to it.
it gets sticky-dirty and the glass rubies stick together and adds greater draw restriction.
meaning, you must clean it about once ever day. that's a bummer.
put the dirty ruby tube in iso into a small plastic bottle with a lid or zip-lock bag and agitate it for a while, or leave it soaking over night.I’ve had one in my cart for a few days now (it’s hard to justify the shipping cost for one $10 item) but I was worried about the rubies getting sticky.
Maybe if I get two it’ll make shipping easier to swallow and I’d have to clean less often
Using the dimpled tube for a while and haven't had to clean it out yet. The cooling is so good I haven't even been interested in swapping to the ruby. Is it's cooling actually much better? because your workflow sounds like a total drag, man.put the dirty ruby tube in iso into a small plastic bottle with a lid or zip-lock bag and agitate it for a while, or leave it soaking over night.
then rinse in hot water, blow out the excess water and dry it out.
A hair dryer works well.
don't drop the glass tube. lol
reinstall, do a short burn out, presto.
if you're a heavy user, clean it at bed time, or buy 2 tubes, and swap them out.
good luck .
the ruby tubes are a great addition for cooling.
no need for bubblers, adapters, or j-hooks.
it saves you a lot of money on other glassware products.
now i vap from stock mp and no more DC needed

Hey folks... VAS is itching again and this looks promising.. I was reading through the forum and at some point someone posted a diagram of the internals, and there was some discussion about tearing down a unit, but I couldn't find it. Was an analysis/breakdown of the materials in the vapor path eventually done? I saw the reply from the manufacturer "Trust us", which well... yeah no. Wouldn't be the first time I personally find something wrong with a vape's airpath.
I am not sure if I am a purist or more of a "neurotic obsessive compulsive" user , but I get your point . The gold plated chamber and capsules seemed very interesting to me. I was hoping someone had confirmed the safety of the materials. Thank you!You can see pretty much all the airpath. There is metal, plastic, glass, ceramic and silicone in the air path and the manufacturer has said they are the “safe” types. There are 2 corners where you cant easily get to which seems irritating and pointless to me but other than that its fairly clear without a teardown.
If you’re a purist this might not be the vape for you but after a bit of the typical robot fart burn off smell its pretty good flavour wise i feel.
Just got my dosing caps on another note. Havent used one yet but tried to unscrew them and jesus the threads are terrible. Far far to fine for something like this imho. Im in my 30s and very dextrous and i found it a pain in the arse tbh. I think ill just stick to cleaning the device regularly and use my crafty out and about.
safe enough for me.I am not sure if I am a purist or more of a "neurotic obsessive compulsive" user , but I get your point . The gold plated chamber and capsules seemed very interesting to me. I was hoping someone had confirmed the safety of the materials. Thank you!

Seems kind of pointless to offer 10 minute sessions that are actually 1 minute.Unfortunately not... On-demand mode just does this... heat up time is not that much.
It's a safety feature, no big deal from my point-of-view.Seems kind of pointless to offer 10 minute sessions that are actually 1 minute.
Great point, but for example Mighty has a medical certification, which even if brittle, I hope it would guarantee the safety of the device. In the same lines other companies have started publishing material analysis. Yes I get that for most folks this is an exaggeration, I am not claiming to not be crazy btw. It is just that at times the vape industry feels like the early days of the cigarette companies where they would put asbestos in the filters... We as (crazy) consumer should do a better job at keeping companies accountable in general. The manufacturer said they are all safe. I dont see how anyone else could tell you what the materials were? Users dont really have access to testing types of materials (for example which specific plastic each part is, or the purity of the gold plating etc)
Tbh i would doubt even the designers have this option as we've often seen manufacturers use inadequate materials like when the original mighty’s plastic wasn't heat resistant and they all became brittle around the chamber. Or the recent drama with the Angus.
I’ve used my ALP a lot since i got it and it all appears fine to me. For what its worth.
Considering there's plastic in the airpath, you probably have a genuine reason to be concerned. Even "safe" plastic isn't really safe.Great point, but for example Mighty has a medical certification, which even if brittle, I hope it would guarantee the safety of the device. As i understand, the safety feature is designed to not let the oven to continue to burn, if the device has no movement during a 1 minute period of time. has nothing to do with the length of session time. This safety "feature" is only a feature if there is a genuine safety concern and the vape can't handle sessions longer than a minute. If that's the case, then this is just masking an issue, not a feature.
Regardless of whether it's a safety feature or just an arbitrary cutoff that Airvape enforces for unknown reasons, it makes the product objectively worse. Being able to last as long as it is advertised to is not a lot to expect from a $270 device.
