Hi everyone...so, its been a few weeks working with the capsules. Mine all opened. Yes, this is true. But, the actual lid is on backwards. So regardless, as the weeks went on I noticed that I could hardly even feel a thread on the actual capsule. I said wtf! So, I gave it a closer look and realized that on the rim where the thread is was this pile of crap all around. I cleaned it hoping that would solve the issue. The problem got better but, the threading is off on these little fuckers. Yesterday, I just put them aside and went OLD SCHOOL and packed the ALP right in the bowl and it was fantastic. I did not give a crap if I had to clean it. It tasted so damn good. The best flavor ever. Damn capsules I forgive you.

I’ve had one in my cart for a few days now (it’s hard to justify the shipping cost for one $10 item) but I was worried about the rubies getting sticky.
Maybe if I get two it’ll make shipping easier to swallow and I’d have to clean less often

put the dirty ruby tube in iso into a small plastic bottle with a lid or zip-lock bag and agitate it for a while, or leave it soaking over night.I’ve had one in my cart for a few days now (it’s hard to justify the shipping cost for one $10 item) but I was worried about the rubies getting sticky.

then rinse in hot water, blow out the excess water and dry it out.
A hair dryer works well.

reinstall, do a short burn out, presto.
if you're a heavy user, clean it at bed time, or buy 2 tubes, and swap them out.

the ruby tubes are a great addition for cooling.
no need for bubblers, adapters, or j-hooks.
it saves you a lot of money on other glassware products.

Using the dimpled tube for a while and haven't had to clean it out yet. The cooling is so good I haven't even been interested in swapping to the ruby. Is it's cooling actually much better? because your workflow sounds like a total drag, man.
Hey folks... VAS is itching again and this looks promising.. I was reading through the forum and at some point someone posted a diagram of the internals, and there was some discussion about tearing down a unit, but I couldn't find it. Was an analysis/breakdown of the materials in the vapor path eventually done? I saw the reply from the manufacturer "Trust us", which well... yeah no. Wouldn't be the first time I personally find something wrong with a vape's airpath.
You can see pretty much all the airpath. There is metal, plastic, glass, ceramic and silicone in the air path and the manufacturer has said they are the “safe” types. There are 2 corners where you cant easily get to which seems irritating and pointless to me but other than that its fairly clear without a teardown.
If you’re a purist this might not be the vape for you but after a bit of the typical robot fart burn off smell its pretty good flavour wise i feel.
Just got my dosing caps on another note. Havent used one yet but tried to unscrew them and jesus the threads are terrible. Far far to fine for something like this imho. Im in my 30s and very dextrous and i found it a pain in the arse tbh. I think ill just stick to cleaning the device regularly and use my crafty out and about.

Unfortunately not... On-demand mode just does this... heat up time is not that much.

The manufacturer said they are all safe. I dont see how anyone else could tell you what the materials were? Users dont really have access to testing types of materials (for example which specific plastic each part is, or the purity of the gold plating etc)
Tbh i would doubt even the designers have this option as we've often seen manufacturers use inadequate materials like when the original mighty’s plastic wasn't heat resistant and they all became brittle around the chamber. Or the recent drama with the Angus.
I’ve used my ALP a lot since i got it and it all appears fine to me. For what its worth.
Seems kind of pointless to offer 10 minute sessions that are actually 1 minute.
And on-demand isn't a solution at all because it also turns off after 1 minute.

It's a safety feature, no big deal from my point-of-view.
This safety "feature" is only a feature if there is a genuine safety concern and the vape can't handle sessions longer than a minute. If that's the case, then this is just masking an issue, not a feature.
Regardless of whether it's a safety feature or just an arbitrary cutoff that Airvape enforces for unknown reasons, it makes the product objectively worse. Being able to last as long as it is advertised to is not a lot to expect from a $270 device.

Great point, but for example Mighty has a medical certification, which even if brittle, I hope it would guarantee the safety of the device. In the same lines other companies have started publishing material analysis. Yes I get that for most folks this is an exaggeration, I am not claiming to not be crazy btw. It is just that at times the vape industry feels like the early days of the cigarette companies where they would put asbestos in the filters... We as (crazy) consumer should do a better job at keeping companies accountable in general.
Considering there's plastic in the airpath, you probably have a genuine reason to be concerned. Even "safe" plastic isn't really safe.
But it's just part of the risks most of us take and accept with these devices.

As i understand, the safety feature is designed to not let the oven to continue to burn, if the device has no movement during a 1 minute period of time. has nothing to do with the length of session time.
