Update on my customer service thread with AirVape. Because of my air leak problem that occurred on arrival, they are sending me a replacement unit once inventory is available. Since I threw out my original box, I will use the box that the replacement device comes in, and they’re helping me out by sending me a return label for an easy return process.

I appreciate how they are going above and beyond for me and my situation, so I decided to order the small proof case to come along with the warranty replacement to show my support.

Thanks. I really hope it isn't a tactic to lock in the sale to prevent people from cancelling.....also, it is USPS...and to be fair, I must say I've rarely ever received anything on the shorter end of the time frame they provided. Additionally, their text updates were pointless because it went from awaiting pickup to usually out for delivery a number of days later with all updates happening across a day or two. Their tracking sucks and is anything but reliable.

Hello, you might be waiting for a while. I have had mine as awaiting pickup message since August 7th. I just emailed AirVape to find out why it has not shipped yet.

I received an email on the 7th saying mine had shipped but the status is currently just label created. I reached out to customer service and they said it will ship once they have the units in stock, so who knows when we'll receive it. I leave for vacation in 2 days and I was really hoping to have the unit for that, so that email was a pretty crappy tease.

I also received a shipment order on the 7th. I emailed Gary about the lack of communication. That being the reason behind my cancelation of my order. I also told him I am a member on this forum and a previous customer. I'm also aware of tariffs, family affairs and emergencies. I feel deceived, if I would have received an email simply stating a delay it would be different. I wouldn't even need a reason and would have waited longer.

I just received my shipment. Out of the box terrible, terrible smell, brings me back to flowermate times.
Box is smelly EVO packaging , probably non cured and the vape itself and the silicone are also not cured . They smell really bad . The finish looks like it is going to attract a lot of dirt , i hoped it would be a smoother one . That fake leather smells worst of all ,but the box and the silicone are also emitting their typical smell, so there is like 3 different sources of robot fart smell and i still havent turned on the device.
It beats my mind how this is compared on par with upper tier vapes as it ,maybe it works good ,but it smells worse then some chinese vapes i have tried out of the box. I will give the device some serious airing out and then consider if i will even try it or just send back for a refund . At least they could have packed the vape in some protection to not be in contact with this smelly glued EVO packaging .I want my vapor to feel clean ,i am not a glue huffer.I am dissapointed regardless of pricetag to receive such vape as it might paperweight if this smell does not go away. End of rant.
P.S Vaporpath hits two silicone plugs/narrowings before it enters the glass tube and they both smell uncured. It could have been easily designed to not be like that ,but i guess they think it in 3 if they care about flavor purity.
Damn it seems like this cork is not glued on my unit edge ,it would peel in no time ,i already see how it is detached out of the box.

FWIW, I would give it a go before sending it back. I don't know about the 2, but I think that the AVLP 1 IS a top tier device, so maybe the performance will surprise you? I recently got the roffu and that had similar bad smells on arrival. But once burnt off (took over 10 burnoffs ) it performed like a champ.

I received my shipment today as well and are doing burn-offs right now (on my 4th right now). I already can see the cork detach in some places, and bubble up in others. Keep in mind I didn't use the unit yet! Here's 2 photos:

received mine today as well, looks pretty similar to yours in terms of the bubbles! doesn't bother me too much personally though.
the smell in the airpath is pretty bad i have to say, doesn't seem to get much better yet but i will keep burning it off.

question to the other users, how are you supposed to open this door without breaking your nails? does it get better with use? i like the use of a ball catch mechanism but wow it is tight.


feels really good otherwise, definitely don't regret my purchase.

that latch should break-in a bit after a while. My steam punk had a ripple like that on the edge of the hemp cloth out of the box, decided if it peeled after a some time I'd send it back, I kept pressing down over time and was never an issue.

Greetings from Germany. I can understand the criticism. I tested the device today, my Daily is a Venty.

The device must be run hot 3-4 times beforehand, then the smell of plastic got better, which smells very strong is the cork on both sides, which also interferes with the inhalation. I hope that also decreases. I used the Golden Capsule from Airvape. Operation handling are at a high level.

Everything is easy to operate and has a pleasant feel. Throughput is comparable to the Venty at level 1. Very pleasant taste and gentle steam, herbs are also good brown and through after the last puff at 240 degrees C.

For me, it has its raison d'être next to the Venty.

Mouthpiece should be a little longer, would have been cool if this had been included.

Here are my first impressions:

- the gunmetal grey and cork look a lot better IRL than I expected, I prefer the look over my AVLP, but I'm still concerned about wear
- the color screen is a lot lower resolution than I was hoping. Looks very premium from 3 feet away, but if you look closely it's very pixelated
- airflow is improved
- the short mouthpiece will take time getting used to. So far I prefer the V1 mouthpiece
- there is a very slight air leak, whilst my V1 didn't have one. It's not nearly as bad as the one posted here previously by someone else tho
- the lid and gasket of the V1 and V2 are interchangeable with each other
- taste and heating power seem to be identical. But as I promised I will measure if they use the same 30 watt heater as on the V1
- there was no dosing capsule included. My V1 included 1 free dosing capsule in the box

So far I'm happy with the device, with the only concern being durability of the cork

After 30 burnoffs it still smells ,that silicone would need a lot of time and vaccuum environment to cure properly, this is manufacturing mistake. It is not cool to make people inhale that crap just because you rushed production. I showed the unit to a few non vaping friends and they said it smells like chemicals,for sure this aint converting smokers . Also having cosmetic blemishes out of the box is another sighn of premature launch. I fell like people that preorder got some kind of B-stock and the A stock will be sold full price. I thought delays are in order to make the product proper,there are many Chinese vapes that look better out of the box than this at this pricetag. I am going to contact Airvape today for answers because i am finding hard time to justify this purchase even at the discounted price atm and i do not feel safe inhaling through it ,if they made compromise on this ,godknows what else can be expected.

I've just sent a message requesting my preorder be cancelled. Waiting is one thing, that I expected. The lack of communication was annoying, but whatever.

Still sending units with bubbling cork and that apparently have strong robot farts in the vapour path even after many burn off cycles is not expected. I'm out.

i got mine about 5 hrs ago. my unit is almost perfect. no air bubbles, no silicone stink after 2- 3min burn-offs. i like the small mouthpiece too. very nice airflow. my cork is great no glue air bubbles or wrinkles. she is a beauty.
my complaint is the screen's magnet is not powerful enough to hold it in place, even light brush contact.. if you bush off particles, the gold oval screen, it removes the screen way to easily. it hits smooth with good airflow too.

I don't want to bum the thread out, but I'm just really tempted to free up the funds and feel this is the last weekend I'll easily be able to do it.

i swear my unit is almost perfect. for $100 to $150, i think it's a hel'la good machine. mine was from 2nd batch and came through Florida ( the beginning postage pick-up point). i'd still keep it even if there was an issue. i'd have airvape warranty service replace the unit later, when they get caught up. be sure to register it.

My 2 cents for what it's worth. Never got AVLP in my hands so all feels new. Received shipping notification this Wednesday, received AVLP2 by Friday (in EU).

First impression is very good. The unit is very sturdy, heavy and feels premium. No visible issues with the cork.

What surprised me negatively at first was that the hinge was extremely stiff to a point where I wasn't able to open it without breaking my thumbnail or using a tool. I fidgeted a bit with it, open and closed multiple times and now it is reasonable - still stiff but not too hard to open, which is much preferred to it being loose.

There was (and still is after ~5 burn offs) some kind of a smell. I wouldn't describe it as silicone, more like a glue-y smell but what do I know. Either way it is slowly disappearing so I will continue the burn offs and will load the first load soon.

Overall looking forward to adding this one to the rotation.
