I just got a quickie today, some nuances to what I posted so far perhaps.
Lack of heat retention seems much less an issue then I initially thought. I would love to see SliM put one of these to the test, but for myself it's a non-issue really, so I felt a rectification was in order.
I also sometimes notice a whisper of either the nutty smell Hazy described earlier in the thread, or the hemp-seed oil. It never bothers me and it only seems to be there every once in a while, but still. Other than that the Pod tastes very very clean. Actually, when I picked up my HI again for a stem the other day I could even notice a subtle metal-taste (presumably) coming from the core. It never bothered me or anything, but it did became more noticeable when comparing it to the Pod.
Other than that I'm still enjoying my Pod a lot. I'm not even using my other logs any more atm, not sure what's going on there..

I've had mine going for about since yesterday afternoon. I've settled on 13.7 (13.75v for hash) range, this gives me a nice dark brown ABV. I find that I like my ABV on the darker side. at 13.6 I get a nice golden nutty brown so the is a great deal of variation in a small range. It just requires one to figure out where your Pod runs the best.
As far as heat retention. I think so far I've needed to adjust my draw speed. My other logs restrict the air flow by design therefore leading to a slower draw speed. The Pod on the other hand is almost unrestricted, letting me draw faster then it can give me heat. Like all other vapes there is a slight learning curve to it's use.

What you are saying about heat retention and unrestricted airflow happens with the Inhalater too... It's a whole new world after the Solo and I believe the Inhalater might have been a good practise on restraining my urge to draw harder until my Pod gets here!

I am officially a Pod Person, i am proud to be a member of the Pod people.
Man, this is one sexy little unit.
I dunno whether to stick it my bong or just skip the foreplay & break out the lube & condoms.
As another member posted, its functional art & I entirely agree.
Its so fucking tiny.
I love the little gong stem, but me & yr screen had bit of a blue right from the get go.
So, I give him the sack and messed about with some uber screens i had lying about & got it sorted quick stix.
Still working on voltages, but 13.5v was too light on the vapor for me. But 15v gives really nice vapor, not as thick as the UD but quite satisfying nontheless. I hope 15v isnt too much for it, cuz the vapor production is pretty good.
EDIT- just wait for the pod to heat up 1st. 13.5v seems to be fine, not mega thick, but nice vapor. impatiient stoner that I am lolz

@ fred, i was impatient and didnt let my pod heat up properly. its all fixed & running at 13.5v right now.
@ stu- I am a socially responsible person & accept the fact that chicks like bumping uglies as much as the rest of us. I also accept that said slapper might have banged someone else other than me.
Therefore, just cuz you have syphillis Stu is no reason wish a nasty dose of the clap (or worse) on the rest of us. All ya gotta do is take yr dripping oozing knob off to the Doc and get a cream or something FFS & stop wishing it on the rest of us.

Thanks for the heads-up Frederick. What happened when it shorted? Did the Pod just stop working, or were there sparks or anything more dramatic like that?
That makes sense to me. I don't think that they are excessively small--I just thought that they might be interesting slightly longer. They're definitely a fully functional length, imho. Maybe you could also offer the piece uncut so that it could do double-duty as either a longer GG or a slightly longer DD? I would guess that some people would prefer that.
I really like the GG as-is, though, and wouldn't trade it for a longer DD stem. It's a bit small to handle by itself when hot, imho, but it fits and works *great* inside a little 18>14 reducer (such as: http://tinyurl.com/c3augtp ). I might even go so far as to say that the GG is more useful/functional that way (much easier to handle/deal with).
I love this idea! Hazy--any chance you could share with us how you put that together? IIRC from an earlier conversation, you had to add something inline with the LED so that it would work correctly, right?@NewVape-- cool Kettle bubbler!!

I noticed the display on my VVPS drop to 1.4v just as I was about to take a hit...
I started looking at the cable, and when wiggling it, I saw a very small spark where it was shorting.
I just grabbed my 3m power cable I'd already made for using with my UD/WW, and kept the pod going
I like the mono plug hazy provided, so I'm planning on salvaging the 2 plugs from the cord and just making myself a new one

Woot, more company 
I use a similar reducer-adapter with my simple HS stem Placetime. I've put a bit of the thinner silicon UD-Dave provides around the stem and just jammed it in the adapter. It stays in place very well that way. It's less convenient to use without the adapter with a 14mm waterpipe though.

How do you all experience the Pod's heat retention so far? I tried the biggest hit I could master with my bong the other day, but apparently I don't have the lung-capacity to make the Pod crap out before I do myself. I'm not a particular fast inhaler neither so for me it's more then adequate

Can't even upload them to www.Imgur.com(file type not supported), so you would need to manually convert them on your computer I suppose.
EDIT:
Weirdly enough, when I go to save the pictures directly they DO show up as .jpg
So I just downloaded them and re-hosted and it should show up fine now
