My guess is its some kinda stainless steel.

Not easy to fold in to the zig zag shape. Let me know if you find a good way.

Thank you all for the links/research.
The thickest mesh vape wire on elementvape site was the ss 1.20 Ohms and is not as wide cut as what ryan is using(.6inch). But i still do think that it will work as a replacement mesh.
My kalipper is telling me the mesh has a .50mm spacing.

On my side, about the 2ZM, I have no idea because I haven't disassembled it (but I'm thinking of asking for a DIY 2ZM to replace the 4Mi and make a few modifications on this (like 21700 and the wiring under the heater (like a Milaana))), but I've done some research with the heater on my RBT Milaana 3 and I'm pretty sure it's this (on McMaster-Carr):

Wire Dia.: 0.0055" -> 0.1397mm
Opening Size: 0.018" -> 0.4572mm
Open Area: 59%
Mesh Size: 42 x 42

My caliper indicates correctly the ⌀0.13mm wire. About the opening size, I've tried inserting a ⌀0.4mm wire in it and it leaves a gap. I made the same test with a ⌀0.5mm wire and it doesn't fit. It is therefore highly likely that the opening size will be ~0.45mm, as in previous specifications (according to my research, these are the only two sizes available with these specifications on McMaster-Carr).









I wanted to order a sample to compare them and be completely sure, but unfortunately McMaster-Carr recently changed its conditions and now refuses to sell to any customer outside the United States. Ryan (ironically, that's the name of the person I conversed with at McMaster-Carr) told me he had adopt a “conservative” approach However, the product seems to be imported from the People's Republic of China and I will do some research on this subject to find an identical mesh supplier in China (I'd like to design my DIY 4Mi ).

Mine is back on pg. 12 and damn my comment there makes me a rube ehh?! But for real I Appreciate all the IDEAS here. I tried filling the native stem w/ ballz & then dropped it floor so Fail. The Device itself is still the One I test a new strain on first. So seeing how to keep it ALIVE despite the chaos of how things went Is a positive. Mad respect to all you Innovators.

2ZM is still my favorite vape, it's incredibly sweet and the flavor is exceptional! I still haven't used Milaana or TM since it landed, I love the power it delivers! 19/19 stem is my personal preference for this!
