in this thread you will find random vapor related items for sale as well as instructions on how to create them yourself. basically it is to help others DIY or to take care of it for you if you arent so inclined to do it yourself. either way this thread has you covered. so take a look around and if you have any questions feel free to ask here or shoot me a PM.
the first offerings will be in the form of coils and upgrades for your oil dabbing RDAs. first off is my beloved Diamond Back Coil or DBC. this version of the DBC is the "DBC1". it is constructed of twisted kanthal wire (dif gauges for dif resistances), sleeved inside of a braided (yet hollow) ceramic wicking material. this product is known in the ecig industry as Ready X Wick. this stuff provides superior flavor to any other wick i have tried. it can be torched clean or even cleaned by dry firing your mod until its glowing orange/red. your coil should be returned to a pristine white again after cleaning. cleaning it in such a way does degrade the wick, but cleaning it a few times a week is normal for myself. i keep my coils going for 2 months before i replace them.
*NOTE* that this stuff does not last forever. go to RBASUPPLIES.com for more info/videos on the safety and longevity of RXW.
ok now for the build... you need a 2" piece of 2mm RXW and about 8" of kanthal wire (gauge determines resistance). bend the kanthal wire in half basically making two strands the same length. twist these together firmly however you prefer. a drill can really help you out here. here you see a 2" portion of RXW and about 4" of twisted 32g kanthal.
here you see the wire has been inserted into the RXW.
next you want to bend the wick/wire around something very thin like a blunt tip syringe needle. you want something that wont leave a large hole in the center of this coil. to start the coiling you want to bend the wick/wire about a 1/4" from one of the ends and then coil the rest of it. this should leave you with the pic below. my apologies for this blurry pic. i will get it fixed, but you get the point.
this is what the bottom should look like. note the small piece of wick hanging out of the bottom from the center. that is the 1/4" section you started with. you want this little section to lay flat against the bottom.
here you can see the bottom of the finished coil. note the small 1/4" section is flat against the bottom and secured by thin kanthal to the other lead. this attachment will also reduce any fraying.
here is the top and money shot of a finished DBC weighing in a 1ohm. these can be made to many dif resistances if desired. 1ohm works great through glass or dry IME. when using these with newbies a 2ohm coil may be desired. lets you be a more liberal with the heat and less chance of burning anything. as stated this coil can be cleaned while mounted in your RDA. simply apply power until she starts glowing orange/red. you will see some smoke coming from the coil. and after that stops it will just be red. let it cool and be amazed at how clean the coil is now. load it up and taste the super clean pallet.
*NOTE* again please note that cleaning these coils does degrade them. its nothing i have noticed personally, but should be noted per RBASUPPLIES.com. as long as you arent cleaning it multiple times a day id say this coil should last every bit of 2 months w/out fail. in fact i know it will last longer, but to ensure top performance i replace mine every couple of months.
next on the menu is a 510 DIY 14mm glass joint adapter for your RDA or anything using a 510 driptip connection. i will post links to where you can secure these items yourself. or i have them available as well.
as you can see its pretty simple, but damn effective. ill get some better pics up, but until then these will have to do. this combo is really great. it grips a 14mm glass joint and holds my rig in place really nicely. i can pass the piece around with the rig still attached w/out worry. you can use it hands free or just for a quick seal when really dabbing. this combined with a DBC means no need for a torch and nail.
and then ive got your IGO-W upgrade kits. each kit consists of 2 extreme high temp silicone orings, 3 SS set screws, and an allen wrench for the set screws. The orings destroy the stock IGO orings in every aspect, the set screws allow for more space above the posts for top post mounted coils. i am a big fan of the IGO-W because it is a cheap yet quality workhorse of an RDA. and it can be found just about anywhere.
so there you have it so far. i will update this thread/post when new ideas/items become available as well as better pics and descriptions of the DIY part of it. if for any reason you are not into messing with this stuff yourself just shoot me an PM and i will get you taken care of. i am working on some other stuff as well including a new coil and will update the thread when the info is available. pricing for items is below.
