3mm is way too small. It’s a 30mm dish. 5 is small, 6 is great, I’m liking 8mm but it’s borderline too much. I went sapphire bc flavor and heat... that’s why we love it, might as well use it eh?
As far as the website, can’t say about that company. I used Greek Glass who’s a well known vendor...
Never seen an active thread before. @livingthedream what did you do to your sapphire dish? I recently flinged mine across my room while cleaning. It miraculously survived. I will be buying a backup sapphire on the next sale. 2 is 1.
To my friend @spk42012 my thoughts exactly. When I tried the...
I haven’t used a puffco peak but fairly sure it’s nothing too powerful, and the glass peak supposedly isn’t great either. A decent rig and a tbucket is going be far better if you know what you’re doing.
Aside from verifying how clean your bucket and dish are (make them clean, obviously), and...
I KNEW this was coming!! And I thought the same exact thing.
However, the dish went flying because it was out of the bucket and being cleaned in soapy, slippery degreaser. If I had a dcup it would have gone flying just the same.
The lip on the dcup can’t secure the dish against user error :)
New to the program and finishing up my first rec period. Whooo!!
Armed with my new Tbucket, I’ve tried a fair bit of rosin already. Flower free for now.
There are some amazing products being offered and I’m excited to see what more time, more tech, more competition etc will bring, because...
I really hate to admit this, but my Sapphire dish went flying across the room this morning. Screamed like a little girl each and every time it bounced on my super hard ceramic flooring. Three good ones.
Dish is completely fine, thankfully. Durability, unfortunately confirmed. No further tests...
Nice dude!! This makes me OFFICIALLY a NV shill! But seriously, You are sure to love it.
I imagine by now you have heard why we love sapphire (the heat retention and flavor are ridiculous) the only thing to keep in mind its weakness: thermal shock. As long as you don’t clean the dish when hot...
@ManFlies352 i picked up a vrod about 3 months ago, not even really interested in dabbing. I got a gram of live resin and I pretty much haven’t looked back, completely switched over to concentrates. Got a bucket for Black Friday.
As mentioned the WE coil will not work on the bucket...
Quartz dish does sound amazing for a backup. I’m betting a bunch of us would be interested in one, unnecessary as it is, owning a sapphire dish.
The sapphire is SO easy to keep clean, and awesome to use... but I do get what you mean, any time I have the dish out of the bucket I’m being extra...
SAPPHIRE ABUSE! SAPPHIRE ABUSE!! MODDDDDDDS!!! :)
In all seriousness, SGC is so effective I’ve taken to making everything immaculate each morning. Soak the dish for 3 mins and rinse out the recycler. Otherwise as you say, just dab on it and wipe it clean.
Sounds like your pets would be safer around a ditanium/enano etc. but I was stubborn as well. Mine aren’t prone to accidents but I would never leave my FP out in the open, just in case.
My solution: Essentially my vrod head (and now my tbucket) lives *inside* my desk cabinet, roughly the size...
@murf2010 i had the exact same experience. I figured I’d try dabbing off the vrod once in a while... got some live stuff, and I just never looked back, I was so blown away. The flavor + effects are amazing.
Not to be a bad influence, and It’s definitely not as convenient as the vrod dish, but...
That “simple green crystal” is actually friggin MAGICAL. My jaw actually dropped as it cleaned my dish. The oil released from deep in the seams in a single long piece. Epic.
Sapphire maintenance couldn’t be easier. And Virtually zero heat transfer on my glass joints, even after hours of use —...
I have some simple green crystal coming tomorrow!! Perfect. I gave the dish another ultrasonic iso bath today. Afterwards I WAS able to scrubbbb all the stubborn stuff off with a pinhead, but seriously, getting into that flat bottom seam where the oil clearly likes to go was NOT easy, and pretty...
Thanks guys. Put the dish in an ultrasonic cleaner this morning for an hour in some 99 iso...residue was def loosened, but the seams are still soiled and surprisingly there are some light stains apparent. I’m sure some simple green or pwb as suggested with some time and heat will take care of...
Nice. I bought a few extra sapphire pearls in both 5mm and 8mm. If you have a hard time finding them, let me know and I’m sure we could arrange something. But that is exactly what I mean with the dish, I’ve been trying to “pick” at it with a pinhead. It’s not really working.
So a simple...
Got a few “big” pearls coming next week. See how that goes.
Otherwise, I’m just super impressed. Standard temp- 300 for sessions/cleaning with iso... Boost temp- 530. Absolutely ridiculous results.
How often should I be breaking the bucket assembly down for cleaning? Obviously a heavy user...
Thank you. I’m slowing my draw a bit and good suggestion — I’ll definitely give bigger/better pearls a shot.
No hate, but the quartz balls that came in the $20 banger set (yes, I bought a banger/cap combo for $20 alongside a $600 titanium/sapphire banger lol) were not only tiny, but very...
Sorry to double up, but @thevapist I came across the sic dish at vgoodies, that can be seen here, it’s not letting me link directly... idk:

Anyways you’ll see where some of the confusion comes from. The dishes are and...
