So has anyone tried the new thicker stainless steel coil bat? Or the new VaporGenie brand lighter? I'd be interested in reading reviews

Awesome job with those videos, Vitolo! You got the lighting just right to be able to see the vapor fill up the pipe! That's an interesting way to hold the lighter as well; I'd never thought to try that

Yes, that's what my friends have heard too. But what I am saying is that I don't agree with that. Not that it's wrong (because I have no idea what is right), but I have never seen any evidence to back that up, nor do I understand why it would work that way. So the explanation you have given...

Yeah, vapor is VERY irritating to the throat and lungs at first. I got used to it after a few months and don't cough so much on big rips now, but sometimes it still happens! Once you start letting your friends try the VG, you will know they are doing it right when they start coughing :P You...

Tap the VG firmly on your palm a couple times between each hit. If you haven't packed it too tightly this will shake up the herb and it will vaporize more evenly, which should help you get consistent vapor until the bud is spent

Bipola, I usually feel cold after vaporizing too (even after the first 10-15 mins) so I've learned to have a jacket handy all the time. I'm not totally sure why this is, but it may have something to do with a change in blood pressure? Yeah, some people are dumb and will inhale compressed gas...

PhishCactus, that's an awesome present that he left you! Like Payton said, it looks like a Smooth Handcarved Walnut VG (http://www.vaporgenie.com/Handcarved.html#). I have never used alcohol to clean my wooden pipe, so I can't help you in that regard. TV, that sounds like a cool way to apply...

Thanks for that great review, Charlie. I agree with everything you said, and I would like you to note that you should be able to untwist the inside coil of the mouthpiece (the one that's sticking out) back up into the pipe to hide it from view. If you do that, you will first have to untwist...

Yeah I used Bics for the first 5-6 months, but I have probably used a torch more often since then.

Weird, I have never understood why some filters turn orange. I have used a classic VG for 2 years and a glass VG for a year and a half. Neither of the filters have turned orange, but I clean them each every couple months (superheating with a flame and vacuum cleaner until the filter glows...

Where do people hear stuff like this? As has been said 100 times in this thread, just light the lighter a couple feet away from the pipe. It's as simple as that.

I agree that the stainless steel coil VG is small and streamlined enough. It works wonderfully and is very cheap! Like djonkoman said, torch lighters work well with the VG. If you don't have a torch lighter, the only advice I have about cigarette lighters is this (though this may already be...

What Pinoy means is that the technique for inhaling is exactly the same as the technique for heating the filter because you do both at the same time. However, one way to get better hits is to break the heating and inhaling into two steps when the pipe is cold. To do this, one would let the...

It sounds really cool, thanks for the review! I'm glad to hear that it vapes quickly and also cools down quickly

That is an interesting addition to the VG famly; I am interested to hear how it is, arf777. The first concern that comes to mind for me is the metal sleeve getting hot. If it's anything like that metal bowl of the classic wooden VGs then it could be painful :P

Here's what you're looking for: https://www.vaporgenie.com/Return-or-Exchange-Request/?view=rsform And I am wondering why you want the stainless one anyway? I'm not saying it isn't better; I'm just saying that I don't know what makes it better

The "ruggedness" factor is definitely a plus with the wooden models; mine has been dropped on the hard floor many times XD Cleaning the classic VG is fairly easy compared to the glass VG; VG's website says not to let alcohol touch the wood, so I just run pipe cleaners through the VG and the...

I finally got to try out the new stainless steel coil VG bat at my friend's place last night; it was awesome! He had quite a few people there that had never vaporized before, but after only a couple tries with the temperature they were getting massive rips. We found that the most important...

There is a metal wire that holds the filter in place on the glass model; you said you bought your second-hand so I'm guessing the previous owner removed it and didn't tell you. That's a bummer! The VG maintenance pack comes with 2 wire coils, but I'm not sure if the classic VG coils are the...
