Reservations are closed. When the full io website launches pre-orders will become available for a similar release date. Those with reservations will be getting units before everyone else. Once we get a bit closer we will have reservation holders choose the unit they want and complete the balance...
Can you PM us your account email so we can look into this? I can't do anything without this information. I am sure you find everyone who has done this has gotten a response and a resolution. I will be happy to personally review your warranty request. It has always been our policy to replace...
Our new facility is now mostly set up and we are spending most of our time on operations. I will post an update on the warranty system in the Grasshopper thread. SS Hoppers BTW are available in very small quantity through the website if anyone really needs one before the io.
Regarding progress...
A quick update:
Our new facility is now mostly set up and we are spending most of our time on operations. We will have the warranty system open soon for new requests. We are currently clearing out the packages that have come in over the last few months and once that is done we will open the...
The gap between the dial ticks and the clip area is not filled with the plastic. There is a gap required there to allow the rotation to work, and that comes with some tolerance. It is tighter than before but not filled with plastic. Build up in this area will not affect conductivity as there is...
We have been explaining the differences in the last few pages of this thread. Please look back if you are interested. The standard mouthpiece remains with minor tweaks. The PFE will still be offered, the threading on the io also will remain compatible with the Grasshopper accessories so if you...
I think someone has fixed this for you already. If not please let me know via PM and I will get it corrected today.
This is in line with our thoughts on a draw-detection-on feature for the Hopper. We do use draw-detection sensing to control some other aspects but not on-off of the device.
The io won't have any threading changes. We want to keep the threading standards we have established. The threading on the chamber/FE has been optimized to take up very little space but also be durable enough to stand up to constant use.
The chamber remains the same except for a few internal...
The lights are steady and the flicker feature has been eliminated (looks much nicer). There is a slow flash to indicate battery getting low and the "low power mode" has been entered. Low power mode allows more vaping at reduced power. It is not a huge feature but it does squeeze a bit more juice...
There are other type-c products planned. Something very new, but we are working on finishing up the other projects first.
The only color is now white. Perhaps you can convince me to post a photo soon. ;)
There is no direct cooling added to the mouthpiece. Cooling of the vapor has been a topic of discussion for a long time. It has always been our goal to make the device as efficient as possible. Cooling the vapor from the Hopper would be a step in the wrong direction. If the vapor is cooled it...
1. We will not be reducing the thread count on the backend at this time.
2. No, there are now a number of LEDs to provide even lighting out of the holes. The color is white, it looks great.
3. There is more feedback on battery state now based around new software modes that allow "low power...
We are sorry for the past warranty wait times. As was standard in our past, we will have service that is completed in 1-2 weeks. The issues with the past heater manufacturer are well documented. We make the heater in-house now so we don't have the same issue happen again.
The device only has minor exterior changes that are intended to improve usability.
It will have the same "new style" ring cable. The charging speed has been boosted slightly through efficiency gains. Type-C is coming in future products.
Thanks so much to everyone wanting to support Hopper Labs and the io. I understand the frustration of some but we have been doing our best to get the job done. The io is a great device and addresses much of what users have wanted while staying true to the form factor. Those who loved the...
