Hi Jon and welcome to FC
The first question that comes to my mind is have you tried edibles?
I don't have much experience with them personally, but the effects usually last longer
i cut a small square/rectangle of coffee filter and fold it around the hash kinda like a present or something
just roll it around, then fold the ends over. not too tightly
you don't want a big a piece of filter paper as you dont want the excess soaking up all the rosin
you want the rosin to come...
Happy to help bud
What are these screens like?
How fine are they?
You may be better off using the coffee filters
I have a small roll of the SS mesh I used (left over from ecig genesis wicks), I'd be happy to send you a small piece if you would like to try it to save you ruining DDave's...
Start with small pieces of hash (0.25-0.5g) wrapped in either a fine mesh screen or a coffee filter.
Then fold a piece of parchment in half, put the package inside and squish
Coffee filters are apparently around 20 microns
You can squash the filter by itself again afterward to try to get...
I try to squash around 100C (ish cos the straighteners are rubbish lol) depending on the flowers as some seem to need slightly more heat to flow
I squash for longer when using lower temps, but no longer than say 30-40 seconds. You can usually see it bubble and stop.
When squashing hash, apply...
Foil backed parchment (slick wrap?) should be fine
To squash hash I've tried coffee filters and I've tried steel mesh to wrap before putting between parchment
Yield is much higher than flowers and takes slightly less pressure and heat.
My results weren't as tasty as rosin from flowers, but very...
The "If You Care" brand of parchment is supposed to be quillon free, so is the Slick Wrap paper.
I haven't used either one though so can't say if they're any good.
I just picked up a roll of Bakwell non-stick baking parchment
Have you got any bottle or test tube brushes?
I've never had to, but to fill the tube you could use a syringe or pipette
If I didn't have another vape handy, I'd probably try turning the evo on to evaporate the iso (unless it's gotten inside?)
I've ordered a pack of these too just in case...
I had a reply from Kannastor via email too regarding the easy change screens.
They were quite helpful and hopefully I should receive a finer screen in a few weeks
Thank you Kannastor
What sort of adapter did you buy?
Was is just a simple plug adapter or was it a converter?
To use 110V devices in the UK, you need a step up transformer
I think some kind of shim or plate you could drop in could work to reduce the hole size, but you would need to put a riser of the same thickness as the plate on the centre post as well to raise the teeth in the lid from the deck of the grinder.
And yeah, that is how they spell it and yeah I...
@Aimless Ryan the GR8TR comes with 2 interchangeable grinder plates
I received my GR8TR Jar grinder yesterday and first impressions are that it's tall, it has thinner walls and it's lighter than my Compton grinder.
I've been using it with the finer grinder plate and although I do like the fact...
As far as I can tell, the only difference between the "Kannastor Gr8tr Solid Body" and the "Kannastor Gr8tr Jar" grinders is that the jar one has a clear section
I liked the idea of the original SLX grinders because of the coating but couldn't find any available over here.
The new ones look even better. Look forward to your thoughts when it arrives mate
@Aimless Ryan that kief looks more like finely ground herb.
How big are the holes in the SCS...
