The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Nah, it comes out at the same time as the device launch. You've no missed out, all good :)

Fair enough, but this kit will also be great for those who can't afford a T2, but would like some of the benefits of it, not just those looking to bump up the performance of their T1. The time it's been out doesn't matter, if anything, it shows he's not leaving the old product or customers...

Those look rad, love the look! Bravo :) Nah, £45 individually priced, £35 is a decent price to offer some extra performance to an old model. I guess he didn't need to offer any upgrade kit. Nice! I'll need to wait, just bought my meds yesterday and that cleaned me out. Would you mind putting...

Cost of manufacture will be a factor, as will manufacturing times. The new unit has a lot of intricate machining too, but probably isn't as involving as that helix design. Heat transfer has always been a bone of contention for the mad stem users as well. I remember even from the revolve Gen 1...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

To get the T1 back to raw and polished will take a lot of work.... It's not easy and there's issues with every method, due to the complexity of it's design, it's going to be really difficult to get all the little intricate bits without the right gear. Was the blue anodised, or was it a coating...

There's only one with the device itself. There is another with more twists coming when the device fully launches, not available yet.

I've had good results with the SS balls. I have some heavy material here, I'm getting about 7 good pulls from the 0.1g bowl when doing MTL. I'm using 3mm at the moment, but might swap to the 2.5mm this weekend after being reminded of their more restrictive airflow by @kokolokokolokon comment there.

Thank you, I am indeed a bit of a fiend for the Mad Heaters gear. Truly changed my vaping experience a few years ago, stuck with them since

Refinished and anodised the mad gear again this time it was all done at the same time and so they're all the same colour - please note, the T2 was done weeks ago, so it's covered in marks, I was using that so couldn't do that one. I'm buying better gear to do it soon too, so I'll be doing a...

Yeah you can, the stem gets slightly hotter than the original head, but the heat still isn't bothering me when I do it. Works great though.

All good, I'm no expert, those things you use are decent and I use them myself. But give the cloths a look if you can, they're usually really cheap and last ages, and very handy. It's always good to have lots of options in the armoury/tool cupboard for the creative stuff. Micro mesh is worth a...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I've used those sticks before, yeah they're ok, but they can make a mess of things. The main reason for suggesting the cloths is because you literally can't go wrong with them, it's just a soft cloth with some liquid soaked in it, no aggressive pastes or polishes etc, nothing hard, all you do it...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

For those looking at polishing their tempests etc, I know @Brenyo has already posted a video and details of what sandpaper/polishing cream, but if anyone wants a simpler way, look for 'cape cod polishing cloths' - all you do is takes one out the pack, rub it for as long as you like and it'll...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

It's really easy to take it apart, you unscrew the mouthpiece and the stem comes apart, it's a lot easier than the original. The head just comes away from the stem like the old one, so pull it apart, then just unscrew the ball head, from the bowl, dunk the parts in ISO, clean, rinse, job done...

It'll look good for sure. They colour well out the box without doing anything other than giving it a proper clean. Have fun if you decide to do it

If your only doing the flat where the logo is, I'd probably use micro mesh on it, I'd start at the higher more gentle grades, that way it shouldn't alter the logo too much. You can usually get a pack of 9 grades on Amazon, but if you're not going to use them often, it might not be worth buying them.

Mostly convection dominant I believe. I got rid of most of my vapes after I got the T1 other than a couple of Dynavaps. I can't remember what a conduction vape feels like now

It's good, but it still causes me a some irritation if chaining bowls, a little less than with the T2 head though. With the T2 stem, I feel more from my material in one 0.15g T2 bowl, than two 0.075h T1 bowls. I was convinced that the more open stem had something to do with feeling stronger...
