I can't answer that fully because I don't have a desktop vape, I also haven't got the 2 fully dialled in yet. I can say it's worth it. I'm finding that the effects of everything I have at the moment have gone up a notch. For instance, I have a low strength balanced 7/7% strain. Normally I have...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Nah it's never happened as yet. Maybe a case would be a shout for taking it around to give some extra security against it being moved when in a bag. I have two identical rucksacks, one for being on a bike and one for wandering on foot. The two pockets I'll put it in are neat and only just fit...

Thanks very much, I was gonna start upping it a notch on each bowl this evening, but that's saved me some bud. Working very well on that with a little fine tuning on the airports to be done. ISO isn't actually that great at cleaning if it's really bad or gunked up in my experience, get one of...

I draw quite slowly now after using the v1 for so long. As I say I'm not giving up on it, I'm gonna keeping trying it out with various settings to see how it goes and alters throughout the week. But it's all good, if I can't make the new stem work, the easy solution is just to keep using the...

The flower can have an effect, but I actually avoided the more terpy flower I have to start with for that reason. I used the most gentle flower I have to start with. The last bowl I did, was with my most terpy flower, that was with a revolve and glass stem, it was also a lower temp than I was...

    Yeah that's the timascus one.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Nah, that might be the timascus one, I haven't actually anodised timascus that's how it came. I was looking at buying some bits of plain timascus to see how it anodises but haven't done so yet.

It was a bit later than I wanted before I started using mine last night. Out of curiosity what are folk running their wand settings at with the standard zirc? I need to carry on using the glass adapter for the time being, I use mine out as much as I do at home, and the wand sits in one of two...

Thanks very much. That's anodising, that was 18.02 volts. There's videos on YouTube on how to do it, but be safe if you do it. It can be dangerous.

Finally got some distilled water, cleaned and blending in nicely in the family colours, now it's time to sit down to a bit of the snooker and try it out 😁

Hoping to try mine later once I've done a few bits a pieces, if not today it'll need toenail until tomorrow. But even without using it, I think it's definitely worth getting the new one, there are several upgrades, and the early reports are that it is better. The wider bowl alone should give...

@Alligator427 There is a shop in the UK called recommended vape supplies, they sell dark and clear glass 14mm water piece adapters, but the shop is closed while he has and recovered from surgery to his leg. As far as the heads go, here it is side by side, and here's the old bowl/head fitting...

I'm not sure what the diameter is on the new parts. The new induction sleeve is thicker, so if it's then wider than the old VI unit, then it might look a bit odd, because there would be a step between the two.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I think the new upgrade would be worth it for the thicker sleeve and more reactive discs. I mean, I've battered mine around for a while now, I think it deserves a spruce up anyway.

The click discs are more responsive, meaning less cool down time required before clicking back to rest. The induction layer is thicker so it'll retain heat for longer. I think the indicator housing was supposed to be an easier to disassemble and reassemble layout, but I'm not totally sure on...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Arrived today, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Will try it out tomorrow once it's seen some alterations to help it blend in with the rest of the gang. So far, the look is still growing on me, but the feel in the hand is really comfortable, the best yet. On the lips it feels comfortable...

Me too. Been a really rough week, finished work early today, so I was sitting quietly contemplating everything that's gone on with a coffee and my tempest. Then got an email notification, thinking it was work related I ignored it 😂 Saw it 20 mins later, amazing! It's on route! My new script...
