Mostly convection dominant I believe.
I got rid of most of my vapes after I got the T1 other than a couple of Dynavaps.
I can't remember what a conduction vape feels like now

Just scalded my leg with fresh hot tea., idiot, wet towel applied.. V2 painkiller just being fired up.

i received my tempest ! yeah! thanks brenyo! First bowl (solid hash), was not hot enough (300c) , second bowl with 330c was good but not perfekt , need some further test. With tempest v1 i used 340 - 380 degrees on the wand depending on the hash and the outside temp. Has anybody some tips for the temps ? Using the standart balls.
+40-50C compared to V1 with the same adapter

For solid hash: 350-360C, set the new one adapter in a low position to ad a bit of conduction (That the tempest head protrudes about 2mm or so from the bottom of he wand). And remember to chop the hashish (i suppose you already do it
)

The more I look, the more I like that blue, it's like a steel blue 
The red looks really nice, but the Blue is perfect for my style. I feel like that color blue matches really well with the shiny metal.

The new blue color is absolutely gorgeous! And while I'm not usually a fan of red, it seems like an excellent choice for those who are.
The heat shield options this time around are really impressive, especially the wood varieties. I'm still hoping for an orange option in the future!

It's not really comparable in that fashion. From my view, convection is the best method currently, but if there isn't enough power (calories/joules) to heat the air enough, and/or the bowl walls have a significant cooling effect, then conduction is required to warm the side walls to about the same temp as the air flow, so there's little heat loss around the sides of the bowl. The 'pests appear to rely on a very thin bowl wall (so less heat required to bring it to ambient temp) and also cleverly directs the hot air through and around the bowl to minimise the effects of heat loss.
As for whether it gets you stoned or not, that's likely more down to how hot the weed gets, not whether it's convection or conduction or a mixture that does the job, and also your personal reaction to the terpenoids, plus the strain used and it's profile.
(even the use of those terms (convection and conduction) is not always accurate and/or meaningful).
Wow! Now that's dedication for you! I just go straight for the painkiller and cut out the actual pain bit!
Didn't you worry about permanent injury before pouring all that hot tea over yourself?
P.S. if you have the patience, ten or fifteen mins under running cold water does the best job of minimising tissue damage. (that one isn't a joke - for a change!
