Unless you have a really open screen I think they all tend to clog up to some extent. When I get to the end of my ground material I usually either strum the filaments of the screen with a pin or use a brush from my Mighty to clear it.

I've had similar issues with my baskets... Out of the ones I received with my unit and a packet I purchased, I have just 2 ELBs that fit perfectly. The others are either too loose or too tight or squashed and splitting. I put the loose and tight ones away for emergency use

My dial stays set between 1 & 2 o'clock after preheating, I stir between draws and usually get 2 draws per ELB before emptying.
