Not in Monterrey. DC Metro area (or “the DMV”—District, Maryland, Virginia, as the cool kids say...) I can’t say I make stems. I made *a stem*, and discovered I lack the tools to do it right.

There ought to be, but that is far beyond my capabilities...

So this obviously homemade stem is wonky—it’s very hard to drill a straight hole with a hand drill—but it does work. Offering this design to our talented builders. The benefit is you can “spin” (actually flip) it using your wrist instead of your fingers. Useful for some, I would think...

This is my Omni stem with spinning mouthpiece. Not until I had experienced the metal spinning MP did that feature seem useful—it spins freely, which the wood MPs don’t for me. Have about 2/3 of the air port blocked by an x-ring. Lovely with Northern Lights and coffee this morning. Also...

It seems like a sandblasted tip would make the hot cap harder to remove with a magnet by adding friction to the mix....

I bought an aomai off eBay a while back, which I’ve never found reliable. Maybe it was counterfeit? Because of all the love this torch gets here, I’m gonna try again, direct from dynavap.
