Yes, keep a torch lighter inside, even in your pocket. That way, the flame size will be consistent. A cold lighter may not light at all, and will definitely have a smaller flame than when warm.

It’s a huniguide bubbler https://www.hunibadger.com/Nectar-Collector-Huniguide-Bird-Water-Bubbler I found it at a LHS for half off a while back, intended to use it with dynavap, but it didn’t quite work for that. It’s perfect with the solo II Edit: also doesn’t leak when laid down

Turns out this huniguide bubbler is a perfect match to the solo straight tube.
