I don't think anyone else has tried using tape, it was just an idea I got when reading the slivers in the fingers post a ways back, and figured it wouldn't hurt anything to do it.

I also got lucky, I have a couple of 14mm glass stems similar to yours, just a bit shorter, that with the addition of an O ring on the glass tube, to support and create a seal with the cap, they fit well enough to use this way too. Nice find for sure! :tup:

...all this talk of Okeanos glass breaking made me wrap mine with clear tape the minute I got it cleaned up from the box. I figure it will at least keep the glass together should it break. I like that J hook, looks nice and narrow, I found the open wide body j hooks (usually 18mm) tend to be really hard to milk up, because the draw is just so unrestricted, though you still get plenty of vapor, but if you want a big fat milky hit, I've found adding a bit of restriction helps, its...

I just can't seem to figure out the sizing on this site... nothing matches the numbers I was given to look up (905, 906 or 241) based on these dimentions: 9/16" O.D. x 7/16" I.D. x 1/16" which size O ring should we be looking for to replace the larger sized ones on this site G? I knew it... :p...

This has become my favorite glass set up for using the lotus, the ashcatcher adds a bit more restriction and I can see the vapor better, I love white wallin' this baby!! Those were pretty quick hits in the vid, but you get the idea.
