Are you using the stock power supply? I've used a couple of different power supplies and noticed a big variation in the colour of the duff, even though there was only a small difference in voltage. I can also feel the different temperature just by holding the PD.

So you find it's ok using the whip? It works, but I didn't like the restricted flow. Maybe I'm just weak. I like the bags though, the flavour's pretty good, although I haven't tried an all glass setup. Durability seems great, I never worry about knocking it over. I actually treat my PD more...

If you're going to make some CD, I'd like to get a few. Just clear glass without any colours or fancy additions. It would be nice if the ends could be smoothed so there are no sharp edges.

Hey Frickr, this looks like a very exciting development :cool: I'm just wondering, doesn't the glass get hot? I thought that glass would be a pretty good conductor of heat. I'd be interested in some of these if you decide to make a few.

Well with the HA there's the main heater unit, the pump (both of which need power), the crucible, the two-part stem and the bags. It seems like a fair bit to keep track of, but if you're a little bit organised you shouldn't lose anything. In reality it takes about 30 secs to put it all together...

By unsatisfying I mean that it feels very restricted when sucking and takes ages to get a good lungful. You can hardly tell that you're getting any vapour. Put it this way, it takes a few minutes to get a standard bagful of vapour using the standard pump. A bagful is about three good lungfuls...

I've got a HA and I've found it to be very efficient. I particularly like the way you can just break off a bud and throw it in the crucible, and it seems to extract everything from it without any need to grind or poke around with it. It's pretty lightweight and quite easy to throw in a backpack...

The power supply will deliver the stated voltage when under load. The amount of sag will depend on the internal design of the power supply. Unless the unit is of extremely poor quality, you should be getting within +/-10% of the rated voltage when under load.

Agreed. To come up with such a clever yet simple concept represents a major step forward in vapouriser design. Hats off to you Tom for refining it to such a high degree and sending it into the world. ;)

Have to agree with you about the magnets songa, I was very disappointed with that. It's a poor design IMO. Glad I only got the 2-piece, not as much of a disaster.
