    Underdog Log Vapes

I'm not a UD owner but I got some of the UD silicone stems to try out with my PD, so I might as well share my thoughts about them. The silicone stems seem to be more efficient than the standard PD stems. I feel like I'm getting more out of the herb, and the silicone stems seem to produce vapour...

    The HI

I've got a cherry PD but haven't experienced any charring as far as I can tell. The HI has a more open design so that might not be an issue.

    The HI

Sounds good, I like things as simple as possible (and as cheap as possible!). The more you can get rid of, the better! Looking at the earlier photos, it seems that you line the inside of the wood with steel. I was wondering if you could get rid of that as well? I know that some people don't like...

    The HI

I've ordered a 0-15V tattoo power supply off ebay. I will need to put together a lead for it though. Let you know how it goes! Alan, I'm a bit concerned about the temp, what's it going to be like in a car at 13.8V or so?

Recent Acquisitions - Post Your New Pieces Here

I've never vaped with glass and I'm getting curious. I was thinking about a small cheapish glass bong to use with my PD, but now having seen this hammer bubbler... the size and simplicity of it are appealing. How much was it?

    The HI

Haven't been around here for a while but it seems like I chose a good time time to drop by. This looks like a huge leap forward in log vape design. I hope it lives up to everyone's expectations. In the photo looking down on the HI, the heat port seems to be surrounded by mesh, which is great...

Newbie Question - What else *should* I get?

In terms of replacement items for the PD, the only thing I can think of is the power supply. It's the only thing that's not made by Tom and is certainly the least reliable part of the PD "system". An advantage of having a spare power supply, as others have pointed out elsewhere, is that you can...

I've got $150 and I'm in the market for a vape

Are you using the stock power supply? I've used a couple of different power supplies and noticed a big variation in the colour of the duff, even though there was only a small difference in voltage. I can also feel the different temperature just by holding the PD.

    Discontinued herbalAire

So you find it's ok using the whip? It works, but I didn't like the restricted flow. Maybe I'm just weak. I like the bags though, the flavour's pretty good, although I haven't tried an all glass setup. Durability seems great, I never worry about knocking it over. I actually treat my PD more...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

If you're going to make some CD, I'd like to get a few. Just clear glass without any colours or fancy additions. It would be nice if the ends could be smoothed so there are no sharp edges.

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

Hey Frickr, this looks like a very exciting development  I'm just wondering, doesn't the glass get hot? I thought that glass would be a pretty good conductor of heat. I'd be interested in some of these if you decide to make a few.

    Discontinued VRIPtech Heating Wand

I think it's a great endorsement and I'm glad it's been posted here for us all to appreciate.

HerbalAire with High Output Bag Fill System

Well with the HA there's the main heater unit, the pump (both of which need power), the crucible, the two-part stem and the bags. It seems like a fair bit to keep track of, but if you're a little bit organised you shouldn't lose anything. In reality it takes about 30 secs to put it all together...

HerbalAire with High Output Bag Fill System

By unsatisfying I mean that it feels very restricted when sucking and takes ages to get a good lungful. You can hardly tell that you're getting any vapour. Put it this way, it takes a few minutes to get a standard bagful of vapour using the standard pump. A bagful is about three good lungfuls...

HerbalAire with High Output Bag Fill System

I've got a HA and I've found it to be very efficient. I particularly like the way you can just break off a bud and throw it in the crucible, and it seems to extract everything from it without any need to grind or poke around with it. It's pretty lightweight and quite easy to throw in a backpack...

    Portable Power Sources and Vaporizers

The power supply will deliver the stated voltage when under load. The amount of sag will depend on the internal design of the power supply. Unless the unit is of extremely poor quality, you should be getting within +/-10% of the rated voltage when under load.

    MJ withdrawals.........something kinda interesting here.

I still get the dopey hangover, but I wake up feeling physically "clean". Also, when I used to go to bed after smoking I would often suddenly wake up with an intensely irritated throat. Not any more. I'm also able to control my usage much better with vapour. It might sound strange, but it's as...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

Hey Henny, I mentioned in a post a while back that it's not the mA rating that's giving you different temps. The thing is, all these transformers and wallwarts put out slightly different voltages due to variations in manufacturing. For most purposes +/-10% is probably acceptable, and the...

    Discontinued Purple-Days Vaporizer

Agreed. To come up with such a clever yet simple concept represents a major step forward in vapouriser design. Hats off to you Tom for refining it to such a high degree and sending it into the world. ;)

    Herb Grinders

Have to agree with you about the magnets songa, I was very disappointed with that. It's a poor design IMO. Glad I only got the 2-piece, not as much of a disaster.
