Hey guys, all the WonGs are 18mm so far, to date we haven't had the time to sit down and really see if we could make a 14mm. As pointed out above you start to run into issues of whether the wood is thick enough to wrap around the glass and still make the appropriate taper. That all being said...
Happy holidays Dogs hope you're all having a good time and whatnot. I just put up the refresh pieces and on Christmas morning no less :brow:. Will resume shipping when the post office opens back up on the 26th so there's still a chance that new pack members might have a foggy New Years eve...
Thanks onox, that's definitely not a piece that's ever been used in any of the UD designs so it must have come from something else.
@ OTA - no prob, just send Underdogette a message when you get a chance and she'll look it up for you.
Just checked in on the newest Pups and looks like...
It doesn't look like any piece that goes into the UD from this angle. Can you take a pic from the side and maybe sitting next to the top of your Dog looking down towards the core so I can see both at the same time? :hmm:
I'm not in front of a calendar right now but it's been an evolving process/change starting when we moved over to the first 24/7 cores. Prior to that point the cores were press-fitted together in a press which worked well but could in some cases let them loosen up over time just enough to start...
@ OTA - not sure on EU shipping costs for a WonG, message Underdogette and she can look it up for you though I'm sure.
@ Puffers - vegan Dogs are custom made to order so you'd need to contact me directly and we can get you set up. You are correct in that it's simply an UD with the core...
I don't know anything about that specific PS but I'd recommend going with a standard lab or tattoo style VVPS if you're going to go that route. Even though the stock UD power supplies say 12v they actually output more in the 13.25v to 13.75v range so that HI one might not do the trick. I'd just...
Lots of questions this morning.. looks like I poked an anthill. :brow:
All in all lwien gets the prize and has it summed up the best; there is a direct correlation between a Dogs 'age' and the amount of hours it has run (and at what voltage).
I did used to say that I thought cycling pieces...
Hey Gonzo, yep the WonGs were just put up on the site a few minutes ago.. looks like Underdogette beat me to the details though (see above). We'll be making some 'standard' wood stems as well and stocking them on the site before long but for now stems are still a 'contact us' item.
Oh, hey...
@ HES - still gotta get you to send in your Pups one of these days for a retrofit since you're still running the uninsulated cores, we should do it before they develope any rattles so it's easier on me. :p Also I have a piece or two of matching bamboo to make you a couple WonGs when the Pups do...
@ EDA - awesome dude glad to hear you're really enjoying the Dog and it's always cool to hear about the different way everyone seems to use their piece. Good stuff thanks for the update.
@ Nbajunkie - thanks man happy to hear your Pup has found a nice new home, also thanks for the odor...
Hey ioright did you get the Jameco power supply with both Dogs? We've been testing some different power supply options (several) and have been shipping different ones with different orders. Some people are reporting the Jameco ones to be too cool. I can send you a big brick or two if need be...
Hey Dogs long time no talk, we've been busy little elves in the workshop making toys for everyone so excuse our absence if you will. WonGs are coming along nicely and should be available on the website by this time next week (possibly sooner) and we're just about all caught up on orders as well...
No problem glad to help! I will say though that no light isn't a good sign and either the LED has burned out, the voltage is too low to 'light' it or you have a short/open circuit somewhere. :o
Hey Hoops, no worries dude it just means you have your polarity backwards from the way the wallwort is wired. It lights up blue one way and red the other but in the case of the UD the polarity doesn't matter.
The MicroStem (and most of the other non-Simple Glass Stem) turned out to be an enormous pain in my ass (and equipment) so it's currently not available and we're looking at other options. Making a smaller stem is on our list of hopeful things to accomplish this coming year so stay tuned..
Hi Catherine, sorry you haven't been able to get in touch that's weird I haven't seen any messages come in but maybe something wacky is going on.. at any rate you can send me an email directly at underdog@underdogvapes.com if you'd like.
Ok, email answered.. will get you all squared away and hopefully fogging happily.
::edited to add::
I'm looking at those mini-VVPS on eBay today and interestingly enough the seller has doubled the price on them in the past 2 weeks.. guess they realized there was a market for them eh...
Ah, ok well there goes that theory (smaller grind) I_wanted.. it was worth a try. For the record I know lots of people use very small amounts, in the 1/20th gram range in their stems to good effect so it's all relative.. you should be getting better results.
How about you send me an email and...
No, I really don't think there's anything you're doing wrong.. and there really isn't any significant learning curve to the UD so I think the issue is probably that the heater for whatever reason isn't getting quite the power it needs. You shouldn't have to pack more though you might try taking...
