Yeah very pretty wood indeed Buzz.. difficult to say though whether any particular stock is going to be hard or soft. It's technically a softwood but is very, very strong for it's weight and is also somewhat brittle sometimes which is kind of at odds with it's strength and it's softwoodiness...

Heya Dogs, one thing I'll be doing this year is some special runs of Dogs (litters if you will) of some various special woods that I happen to have in decent amount. Black Oak and Walnut would be some likely candidates but I also have this to consider, some Blue Pine. What do you all think...
