You're not the only one, other than the Direct Draw stems I haven't had much luck putting the screens upside down either. Not saying it can't be done just that it would certainly appear to be a challenge. Granted I didn't intend for them to be upside down and don't really care for them that way...

Cool, thanks for the pic, that at least confirms it's a relatively current generation piece. Try it with the car adapter for a minute and see if it starts to heat at all then report back and we'll go from there. If it doesn't then we'll have you send it in.
