Loved that movie back when it was only in the theater! :)
Just checking in on vacation.. Persei is holding up quite well, and made quite the impression with some hacker vapeheads out here in the desert!
Just fyi - the Persei (and small arsenal of accessories) will be making an appearance at Defcon 21 this weekend, but it's discreet enough it may be hard to notice where that smell is coming from :)
No idea.. G's done a few drive-bys without weighing in so maybe we'll have to bug someone in manufacturing about the revised serial number system ;)
R.. revised? hmmm..
Is the letter an H? It's the on/off toggle (not momentary contact) head sold with the Hammer, as mine is an H with three letters. I didn't get it that long ago (couple months?), so can't imagine they're up to 4 digits yet (my first digit is a 1 and the second digit isn't that much higher).
PS...
Just saying that laptop case is what works for me because of my work stuff, too... But you'll need to consider that form factor for what works for you..
I did pass by this site when doing my own research: http://www.themacleods.net/qanda/skmqa073.htm
It's about researching pipe cases and what...
As of late, I've been using a portable laptop bag (like a courier bag) and keep stuff stashed in pockets, but for the Nibbler and Bender I wrap the glass in bubblewrap and tuck it into a string-close velvet bag that I keep in an inner pocket.
Before, I tried to stuff the Persei and utensils...
Oh wow... Awesome move there, Bob! (I was about to PM you back, lol, but great to see things go to a "higher" cause!)
Enjoyed the video and the subsequent game quite a bit tho I'm late to the party! :D
Longer answer:
Originally, the Persei was more marketed as an upgrade to Omicron owners, giving them a second voltage range (out of box, a third if you got CR-123A's to play with) as well as being capable to handle much higher current, and originally it came with 4.0ohm instead of 5.0ohm...
Also keep in mind that the O.pen uses the inner 510 thread while the CE4 uses the outer thread while both use the center pin. I've found on at least one adapter that if I screw the CE4 in all the way, you can't draw through it as it blocks the air intake, but if you unscrew it a bit, it no...
Too much heat while loading was a problem I kept repeating myself for the longest time, and I think the flow was adversely affected since it seemed like those carts would never hit at all. I think torching the sauce cooked it down so it was much thicker, but unfortunately you don't see this...
I find .2 to be almost dead-on for when a cart stops producing vapor. If it was a good producing cart with no leaks, slap another .5 in there and you'll get that .2 back (though .2 of that .5 will remain after that run), and if a different concentrate, the flavors might mix for a bit, but not...
Hmmm.. Everybody attaching different things to their Persei...
I got some parts, 14mm to 19mm male-to-male adapter, Arizer elbow screen with a bit of cotton in it...
Mini-hydrator and a new friend...
The mini-hydrator is actually much more stable than it looks...
...or could go for...
