I felt very similar after I upgraded, those feelings didn't last long lol. I bought the car charger with the upgrade, I've only used it for camping weekends when it's being passed around. I haven't missed my crafty, hopefully you find yourself feeling the same.

Not sure if it's the same issue, but a while back there was someone that had the screen loosen and couldn't get it on correctly. Check the screen with fine tipped tweezers to see if it it's loose or moves maybe?

Mine was a little worse, but my batteries weren't great right out of the box. My original unit got hotter in the middle and backend than the front. This one the front end gets silly hot.

There are a few things it could be, but there is the possibility that you got an "off" unit. My first Ti was just like you describe, I rarely used it, but it died pretty quick anyways. My replacement unit was much better, noticeably better. How is your battery life?

Contact who you bought it from, they made some changes in how they glued it and it could be an easy solution. That's not a commonly marketed glue, it's an industrial item.

I figured that out too and did it that way for a while, also using the lid to put the hot torch end into. In the end, I like having the mat. Keeping it in my case, it works like a magnet catching all the duff and loose bits and washes up easy.

I've been using a drop of Pax lube (supplied for use on their mouth piece) on my finger, then rubbing the o-ring between two fingers. It leaves just a tiny film of oil and then the glass slides thru nicely. Whenever I clean my glass, I clean the o-rings so they don't get sticky. Not sure what...
