I'm with @biohacker , I did think you get vapor faster/easier with a fine grind. But I prefer closer to a medium shred, it saves on cleaning, doesn't irritate my throat..... Then again, if I'm trying to show off for smokers, a fine grind thru water at 410F and away I go!

It's the heat! I run hot water water thru my pieces before I soak them and it makes all the difference. I've also been using rezblock and then the hot water is usually enough.
