Yes, mine has a very distinct smell, and it's nut pleasant. I actually thought it was coming from the aluminum. I washed the cup and lid right away, and after, the silicone didn't seem to smell much, the cup however still did. After running two small test batches, the smell is still there...

That's exactly what it is. I don't use it with water and it works great for me! I also use it with its intended vape the Mi, always dry and it works great there too. They're a little finicky to clean, but a long hot PBW soak and a pressure rinse and it's all good! Not sure how that...

I'm not familiar with either of those vapes, do they hit as hard or open as the Mi? Maybe you're just not used too that much vapor flowing so freely? Did Ryan approve of Gorilla Glue? I use a few of them and think highly off them, but not necessarily in my pathway.....

The smaller one has less because of volume, but generally the bomb style is low resistance.

That will work fine, and if you don't have much experience with glass, it's a great first piece. I use the small version of the same piece almost daily.
