I remember flavour was one of the biggest surprises for me. I had only tried Dynavaps and the Anvil in this form factor. I assumed flavour would be similar to those. My first hit tasted amazing. Future Tempest owners who have only tried Dynas are in for a nice surprise.
I keep a small rotation...
I almost pulled the trigger on this a few weeks back, for the Tempest tip. Realised it would be really annoying filling/emptying the tip while it's attached. Would much prefer if it just had a typical 14/18mm connection.
You expressing hope/concern that it is released this calendar year is not setting
low expectations, as it is June. You are merely expressing dissatisfaction and impatience. These negative emotions may be warranted due to previous delays, however they are not reflective of the current reality...
I thought it might be like that. This perforated cap, did it increase airflow? I think that's the source of the restriction in DV's, the lack of holes in the cap.
Edit- If you manage to try it out on the Revolve later, could you perhaps post your opinion on how the airflow compares to your TA.
@Grass Yes Have you tried putting an 18-14mm reducer in the Xeric? The bowl lip seems to sit deep. I'm worried it would not be compatible with reducers.
@invertedisdead Should I avoid placing the Zirc ZX bowl in a glass reducer that has the frosted grip on the inside?
I'm worried it will scratch the bowl over time. Although it doesn't seem to be having an effect. The bowl surface seems as smooth as ever.
@coolbreeze What is the airflow like when you put it on a WPA?
Ive been using the Tempest as my main driver for about 7 months now. I recently pulled out an old Dynavap tip/cap and put it on a WPA and j-hook, just for old times sake. I was struck by how restricted the airflow was, even without...
Is it just the integrated glass screens that cause this vape to have restricted airflow?
I'm not sure why anyone would ever use a glass screen on anything, including injection bowls. Each to their own I guess.
There is a Tempest wand adaptor. It's just a bit of silicone and a glass bowl to hold the Tempest. It has a bottom, so you could heat the Tempest free hand if you wanted to.
When using the way mentioned in the post you queried, you hold the Tempest with the tip facing up, and place the Wand...
The clouds you get at 600 with 0.05g, material in a j-hook is absurd. It's not enough to completely fill my lungs, and causes no coughing. But the density of the vapour is so satisfying.
Easily my favourite way to use the ZX since I've had it. I think this method suits always on ball vapes, as...
I half fill the bowl at most, no tamp, high temp, single hit extraction, no stirring, in a j-hook.
Honestly not how I envisioned using it. But I'm loving it.
Oh wow that surprises me about the Xeric. I thought having less cooling spikes would have had a big effect. I intend to use it with the Tempest head, and the ZX. I mainly need it to stand because I'm sick of having to lay down the current j-hook after each use. I will have it in my hands before...
I'm struggling a little and need help from you guys. I'm looking for a J-hook that can stand securely or has some kind of base. I don't want beads, but would prefer spikes/dimples.
I'm wandering how higly regarded the glass pipe from 420ENG (Couchlog manufacturer) is amongst you afficionados...
Half bowl is 0.075g. Full bowl is 0.15g. You can fill it with less and it still performs perfectly. You can also cram a little more in with a tight pack. EDIT - The bowl has an adjustable screen, with two levels. You don't need to buy extra bowl sizes like the Anvil for example.
We are not...
We are not meant to compare. I can be guilty of this too much.
However the Tempest has exceptional flavour. This is often one of the first things new users report on. It's in my top 3 tasting vapes of all time. My Volcano Hybrid wasn't. I wasn't a fan of the hybrid heating flavour signature of...
