There are some remedies you could try. There are budkups which add more airflow but doesn't solve the issue of using less herb. You could also search for a 3rd screen and vented lid.
I personally don't like any of those additions and prefer the pax in its natural form. But I do agree, the...
I find all these "innovations" to clear a bowl in one hit amusing. I've never had a problem clearing a full bowl with any of my dynavaps. I can't imagine needing or wanting anything hotter than a 2018 tip heated really low and slow. But to each their own and all that✌️
I had trouble with my v3 at first and found using double, triple or quad flames were a lot easier to control. I would point the flame almost straight up and slightly brush it across the intake. I didnt really get it dialed in with a single flame until I tried it out with my blazer pocket / micro...
Dynavap w/ simrell shorty stem, 5 fin ti tip and noncaptive cap.

Pax 3
In that order.
(Own all three and use regularly, in that order)
It's not a new pro, just a new era. Not sure what it does different but it has some sort of anti-clogg feature. It doesn't connect to the app which for me is a deal breaker. I don't really have an issue with clogging. The pods do burn unevenly but I'm always able to vape the pods dry with pretty...
I've never liked the budkups. I too get much better results with a half pack lid and tight pack.
On another note, I've started using the raised mouth piece out of the blue and actually like it. From the moment I tried the flat mouth piece on the 2, I put away my raised MP's and never looked...
I use a pax 3 when I'm not using my dynavap and always temp step. I have the custom temp set at 340 and that's where i start. From there I just work my way through the pedals. 340, 360 and end on 380. I really go up to the fourth pedal which is 420. I normally break a half packed bowl into 2...
Beautiful. I have a v3 and was thinking another getting the v4. It took almost 2 months to get my v3 a couple years ago; how long was the wait for yours?
From what I've read, the only one worth a damn is skc. I have it and it works great. However, the wand works fine without an insert but I much prefer to just drop it in. Maybe try messaging the skc guy on etsy?
I've always wanted a mighty but the cost and general look of the thing has always turned me off. This Angus, despite the terrible name, looks promising. Seems as though alot of great questions are being asked here (nothing the manufacturer should have issues answering considering they made...
What is it? Where are you seeing this?
Edit. Never mind. Wtf? A smaller pax? I don't ever recall hear complaints about how massive the pax is. In fact, that's usually the one positive even the most die hard hater will conced to. What a disappointment.
