A 14mm hook in Zirconia would be brilliant, that would definitely be useful for all sorts of vapes.
I’m actually thinking of picking up the Tornado and running it on a hook, but I worry about keeping that setup in a bag without breakage. A Zirconia one would fix that.
If you want another idea...
Yep, a practically unbreakable stem with advanced cooling features and an improvement on the existing fixed screens is something well worth paying a premium for. There’s nothing really like that right now.
Hell, plenty of people on here can and do part with a lot of their money every time DV...
The S3 certainly does produce some very hot vapour that can be a real challenge sometimes. I wouldn’t say it’s too hot, and would instead say that the stems don’t cool enough. They’re very short and have no cooling elements. That was fine before, but this new heater is much more powerful and hot...
I was just thinking how simple it’d be to make a Tornado to 8mm stem adapter. There’s no condenser any more, so it would be one small part needed. Male tornado connect on one end, some cooling fins perhaps and then the 8mm male connect. Just like that you can plug it into a Revolve stem or...
Thanks for everyone’s input so far, I think we’ve already got some really good stuff here due to their posts :)
So I’d like to add @electrokho82 posts to this thread just in case they’re too busy enjoying the Tornado to do it themselves ;)
These were the first posts to really show what the...
So I’ve started this thread for us all to discuss how to heat the Tornado, I thought it would be nice to have it all in one place separate from the product discussion so that it’s easier to collate and read through.
Perhaps every few pages of posts we can put it all together into a big post...
Well there’s a good start! I love that you can use a DV sized torch on this and get a great full roast. Dual seems a bridge too far if other comments are any indication :lol:
@TigoleBitties if you go through @electrokho82 posts you’ll find some great stuff about using the Tornado with the wand...
Seeing as there’s no official “heat here for this result” instructions and recommended torch like the Anvil had, perhaps it would be a nice idea to have a separate thread on Tornado heating or maybe a community added list in this thread? Like whiffs heating instructions in the Anvil thread that...
That’s very similar to the vapman high, a bright conduction.
I think that it’s because you’re getting everything as it comes, rather than releasing it then applying more heat to it before inhaling - which eventually degrades a lot of stuff into the very stony and sedative CBN. I think...
@Roffa @hotmeals
When you say torch along the length of the device, do you mean like going up and down from right by the clickers all the way down near the connector on the bottom? I’m assuming it’s not that extreme right?
And also when you say it makes a big difference, could you expand on...
That’s odd. I’d love to know what the cause of it is if you ever find out. As well built as these devices are I’ve always felt that the buttons felt a bit flimsy and sort of mushy to press. Definitely a weak point in an otherwise well built device
This happens to me occasionally. I go to change preset and nothing happens.
I can’t tell if it’s grit that’s gotten under there shifting about or I’m just pressing it at an angle that doesn’t hit the actual button under the plastic.
If I make a conscious effort to press straight down on it...
I’ve been combusting since 2012, then vaping since 2021.
I was quite lucky to hit the right device first time with the dynavap 2021M - the ritual, the flame, the tastes and effects of the conduction vapour, and the joint like form factor made it a pretty seamless transition. As long as I have...
Thanks for the recommendation, I appreciate it :)
I love that guy, bought loads of Vestratto stuff off him in the past and got him to do me a custom walnut revolve stem which came out great. Gave me a load of cat stickers with one of my orders too, probably enjoyed those more than the order...
Vapman all paid up and on its way! Very excited to be an owner of a Swiss walnut again.
Now to try and find the walnut vapcase in the UK, I’ve never had one before and they look awesome
I get what you were saying. Perhaps a better way to phrase it would be like going to the bike shop and buying a replacement inner tube which you install yourself, versus paying that same shop parts and labour to replace it for you.
I like paying for convenience personally, I am one lazy...
I’ve used all of these.
Compared to a stock dynavap it’s a huge upgrade in terms of flavour, power and just being more forgiving when heating. Much better heat retention too.
Compared to an FMJ’d or AC’d dynavap, it’s still an upgrade on all fronts but I’d argue not a £120 sized upgrade on...
Yeah there’s likely more heat in the battery relative to the oven if you do the “traditional” style of RTL and heat the battery until the click. Thermal mass is probably a bit higher in the oven thinking about it now, you’re right. The notable difference relative to the tornado is that you’re...
@eyevape
That makes sense actually, most of the thermal mass was in the battery on the anvil which then replenished the heat in the walls. It was clever but I found the thermal lag could sometimes work against you. I suspect the way the tornado distributes its mass is a lot better in this...
I’ve actually noticed this on a few vids but didn’t know if it was a quirk of the device or individual heating technique that still needed developing. That’s interesting though if the gradient has changed from top to bottom to now being outside to inside. Says to me that the way the heat is...
