I hope everyone who’s ordered a Fusion off the back of my comments enjoys it as much as I do :)
For the price you just can’t go wrong!
I’m currently blasting my Fusion with a big dab torch and getting some lovely convection forward flavour hits
It does work fairly good with the wand, but I wouldn’t say it’s quite as good as a torch. If you want to use the wand it may be worth checking out Vestratto’s new tornado vape - it has much better wand performance, good enough to be the primary heating method
When the first models came out there was a bit of a stigma due to the name, and people thinking it was a dynavap clone. I feel like a lot of those people never really came back and saw how far the Dani has come since then. It’s a shame as I think they’re both better value and have more to offer...
Recently picked up a long woody 2.0 and I’m absolutely enamoured with it. I’ll attach pics of the stem but I think I won the grain lottery with this one! Was hoping for a lighter one as my others in the past have tended to be darker, and a nice light one is what I got.
I’ve been mainly doing...
So I’ve had some interesting changes to my vape lineup these last few weeks.. call it VAS, I prefer the phrase “exploratory purchasing” ;)
I’ve been a big fan of the Solo 3 for a minute now, I love the heavy extraction and signature when running it over 200. The throat hit natively at my...
I have!
Thermocore isn’t a whole lot different to the previous ovens IME. A “finishing touch” evolution rather than the total revolution that the original oven was when it hit the market. It has touch more heat retention, needs slightly less heat to click and has a little better flavour when...
Your skepticism is understandable, but nope definitely not pyrolised! I’d be perfectly happy to admit if it was happening, but it simply doesn’t for me in the S3. My device seems to be very well calibrated all the way up to 220c.
Saying that though, I’ve since sold it after getting a Fusion...
Hmm, I get what you’re saying there and can see how you reached that conclusion now.
The regulation on the S3 at these temps doesn’t cause pyrolysis at all for me, and does produce a very dark AVB with the effects I seek. Like I said, AVB photos aren’t a reliable indicator and the one posted...
So weirdly I can see the pic now? Must be my device.
With respect, I don’t think me referencing how a regulated vape from a very competent manufacturer has near identical AVB is a good piece of evidence. That arguably goes against the point you’re trying to make. The only pyrolysis on the S3...
That is fantastic news. I’m so happy to see a member of the community (and fellow Brit!) stepping up to fill this gap in the market.
Well, looks like I’d better start saving up for my tornado now, VAS is fully activated and firing on all cylinders ;)
Don’t know if it’s just me but the photo won’t seem to display? Could be my device though. Would love to see it
Regarding the AVB, I’d go more by the stated experience of the user than how it looks on the photo to evaluate the presence of something like pyrolysis. Purely because it’s quite hard...
That makes sense actually. When you’re running it that close to the line these smaller variables are often enough to push it over! If that proxxon is anything like the stingray it’s identical to, the flame has one hell of range to experiment with.
If you haven’t already tried it also gives you...
That makes me really happy to hear actually, I have no problem with muted flavour (I have a solo or vapman for flavour) but I can’t stand when it has that awful charred taste. I think that taste correlates with something nasty being released as I always have a heavy feeling on my chest after...
That’s exactly how I like my Anvil AVB! A man of great tastes :)
How was the flavour? The Anvil would have the tendency to taste on the borderline of being charred toward the end of hits like that.
That torch is more or less a rebranded Blazer Stingray, which I believe uses the same nozzle (and thereby flame) as the Blazer Firefox. I like them as they’re very powerful but are still quite pocketable compared to a big dab torch like the Blazer GT8000.
Which is somewhat interesting as the...
It’s the same size male connector as the integrated stem so it shouldn’t work unfortunately. You’d have to hacksaw off a few MM to make it fit flush, just like the integrated stem.
If you ask them, perhaps @batteryfreeganz can offer a second option with a shorter, tornado compatible connection
I quite liked the Anvil stem personally. It did take the integrated stem, XL mouthpiece and a wooden heat shield before I got to that point though. I also see why people disliked it, particularly the first gen with that airflow valve which would often wobble and get stuck.
I hope the Tornado...
Well I’ve just emailed them with my idea and asked if it’s something they be interested in offering as a cheap extra at checkout or whatever. Fair enough if they want to build their own stem but at least give us 8mm compatibility while we wait!
If anyone else wants to take my idea and run with...
So I’ve sat and thought on this some more. You could take that exact same part, and on the 8mm end change it from a male connector to a female one that fits on the integrated stem connector. Both 8mm and Anvil adapters would be the same, except one has a male 8mm end and one a female Anvil end...
