Yes the bowl sticking is a known thing. It’s spoken about on the Vestratto site -
“Threaded bowls should be inserted into a cool oven, tightened to snug and then released 1/16th of a turn to prevent binding, CAUTION: The TORNADO has the longest internal copper layer we've ever produced and...
That’s interesting you say that. I’ve noticed a lot of users in the main thread seem to be slowly moving away from the paint method and onto blasting the centre of the oven with a big flame. I knew that as the convection tek with the Anvil, I think I learnt it from @Whiff in the early days.
I...
This is what I’m wondering too.
I (maybe incorrectly) assumed it would be one adapter and you size the orings up and down as necessary.
Then again, given my experience attaching DV tips to 9mm stems I think I’ll get the 8mm adapter regardless and simply size up - it’s more versatile than a...
That actually looks better with the mini stem! Much more balanced with the longer oven and the adapter. I think I will have similar setup to this, I’m hoping to use a bigger oring size on the adapter and use it with the fusion stems
@Duba
Can you try the tornado out on the long fusion woody stem? I’d be interested how it performs and I think the rosewood and tornado combination will look very nice :brow:
So after messing around with pre heating the bowl I’m currently of the opinion that it -
Adds nothing to the slow roast method and kind of messes up the post click timings.
Does help to add some extra conduction to heatups with my triple flame.
The slow roast still has noticeably heavier...
This will be the technique I use with my Tornado.
@Alligator427 you should also ask @Roffa for some advice as they’ve got a nice technique that seems to give good results and flavour
Yeah maybe :lol:
In my experience with flower that tends to over charge the convection heat into charring or combusting temps long before there’s the level of heat in the bowl required for the hybrid effects I seek. I think that’s why the slow roast with small flame works well, it heats both...
The S3 has a lot of conduction but there is also some convection at play. I’d recommend sticking to one temp on session mode for now, and experimenting with your draw speed to see what sort of control you can gain over the roast.
The grind and pack you choose is also a factor. Tighter, finer...
So I’ve been watching this video, as always Lee from tabletopbong makes me think about heating my device in a whole other way. He torches the bowl and cap directly to heat it, and then uses the wand as the finishing heat application to maximise the hybrid nature of the Fusion. Very clever and...
Enjoyed reading this and the thorough detail you went into. I’m glad you’re enjoying it off the bat, and yeah definitely use a torch if you want best results ;) A bigger torch and faster heatup is more convection and flavour, a smaller torch and slower heatup is more conduction and stronger...
Can only second all this. The Fusion is up there with my all glass vapour path Solo 3 as one of the best tasting vapes I’ve owned.
The flavours come through so clear and punchy on the fusion, and I like how lee from tabletopbong put it when he said the fusion is “soft” at higher temps. There’s...
These are back in stock at rec vapes now. I thought this run was done and the next batch would be improved and tested before going up for sale?
Maybe it’s older stock that BFG sent them. Perhaps I’ll give Matt an email and ask what’s up. I want a flare but I’m not sure I want to buy if it’s the...
@eyevape @Ramahs
Yeah I also smoked tobacco with my weed. Over here in the UK spliff culture is the dominant way of consuming. Helps save your weed as it’s illegal here, also helps burn some of the stickier UK weed like cheese.
Plus it’s always funny to confuse the yanks ;)
I used rolling...
Thanks for this, I really enjoy the detail oriented nature of your posts and the added media to give a visual idea of what you’re talking about. It’s interesting that the first wave of owners were talking about this as if it was a real upgrade on the Anvil, whereas most of the owners coming in...
