Height wise my dish is 10 mm. Inner diameter is ~9.5mm (I'm using cheap analog calipers, hard to measure smaller than a mm).
So sounds like the SIC dish is worth a shot at only 12 bucks a pop. Only dimension that may cause issue is the OD of the fastening screw and that can be filed down if...
I just measured the quartz dish on my enail:
25mm outside diameter and the screw has an OD of 9mm. So as long the inner hole on that SIC dish is larger than 9mm, it will work. Though it does look taller than the quartz dish I have.
Is SIC supposed to taste better than quartz? I've been...
Of course that's fine :)
Can you link the specific one you bought? It's great to have non-DHgate reviews on these enails/sellers...
Unless you want to support American companies, I'd say there's no reason to buy a brand-name enail. Just like China glass (my opinion of which has done a...
30*250mg = 7500 mg THC. So yeah ~10g is correct. 250mg capsules are crazy strong though.
From your example, 75% BHO is 3x as potent as flower so you only need 1/3 of the material. 1g of BHO has 750mg of THC.
If you can buy it premade, BHO will be the easiest and most consistent method for making capsules.
BHO is typically 70-80%, so for a capsule w/ 250mg THC you would need roughly 1/3 of a gram of BHO.
I'd say it's practically impossible to reach that same concentration with flower.
I ordered an enail from a DHgate seller and received it in less than a week. That's from mainland China to Denver, CO. I've ordered stuff via Amazon Prime that took longer. Fast shipping aside I'd say this enail is one of the best values on the market. Here's a quick review:
Cost: $105 with...
Picked this up today:
Basically an ethanol refined CO2 extract that focuses more on terpenes than THC. In 250mg, 19.4% of that is "Total Potential Cannabinoids". 23.1mg of THCA and 21.7mg of THC, which leaves around 25mg for various terpenes. This is Super Lemon Haze so I'd guess most of those...
It's more efficient to press smaller amounts than to do one big press.
I wouldn't buy the press you linked. A screw mechanism is a really clunky way to apply pressure. It takes far longer to apply and release the pressure than an arbor press or clamp design. The longer the rosin is in contact...
By far the best tasting pen I've hit is an Evolab Alchemy cartridge on an adjustable-voltage 510 battery. It was actually good enough that I wanted to hit it just for the taste. It uses a refined CO2 extract with added terpenes. Strong too at 85%+.
The downside- I would say it's a ripoff at $80...
The press I ghetto-engineered is similar to that High5. Note how I secured it: bolting/clamping to a either a table or piece of plywood and then bracing against something heavier. A wall in the first picture and a couch in the 2nd. Best to keep it low so you can better utilize your body weight...
They were actually using it for cannabis...I'm not sure what state the show is set in but it's probably a legal one- the woman has cancer and apparently she went to a dispensary and the budtender recommended it.
I haven't been here in a while but was watching TV when something reminded me of this site:
The Arizer Solo made a guest appearance in NBC's Hannibal; Season 2, Ep 4 about 19min in.
Decided I like dabbing over vaping so this has only been used twice in the last year. Excellent condition; no chips or scratches; labels ~8.5/10. 18mm female, ~14" tall. $250 shipped to lower-48; shipped worldwide at adt'l cost. Possibly open to trades for a smaller klein-type rig.
Bump
Haha you're not sponsored by D-Nail are you Herbivore? I see you rep their stuff in a lot of posts.
Anyways, I get that the press is adjustable but it seems that out-of-the box use is not optimized for flowers (at least the one B-man reviewed). If I'm spending 400 bucks for something...
I've done presses with the arbor press @ ~220F and seemed to get a much better yield than bubbleman. Much shorter press too.
I wonder if that top spring plate is absorbing a lot of pressure? seems like it compresses a decent bit. I think that was intended to level the plates for t shirts, but...
yeah I agree those yields seem low. He does another press @ ~16:00 with slightly better results. still looks comparable to my sub-10% presses though. I think he needs to increase the temp- the rosin collects right at the perimeter of the coin, rather than spreading out more. exactly what...
That seems to be within reason. I tried searching the t-shirt forums and mfg sites for an actual # but no luck. Did find this though:
So these presses definitely require a bit of muscle, more than I would've thought. Looking at the bubbleman review that seems to be the case with the D-nail...
Yeah I was thinking of that but I've noticed in my various presses the plates always seem to contact, unless it's a repress of like 5+ coins, where the force just isn't enough to compress the material anymore.
I've also found that adding a shim (reducing the plate area) on some of my earlier...
