By delayed clicker, do you mean "honest separation between clicks"? My '18 clicks early and a few seconds later I get the second click. I only have one like that.
The only reason I don't see that as the issue is that the clicker 'bends' away from the glass during heatup. Cool-down click can slap the edge of the tip depending on the crimp.
My '18-M use to jump from the table. It was one with the honest separation between click. The second cooldown...
I like the CaS, or Cap as Switch, that Fluxer's Flite introduced. I have that in a home-built as well and prefer it over any other actuator. Just dip and cook.
Of course, HotShot and Brute still have the tactile switch in the chamber. The solid wooden landing zone has worked very well with...
Since they put the older logo on them, the new vault units should be made with the newer cap material. I don't doubt the offerings have a nice hot cap. And I am also happy to see people recognize this significant improvement.
Oh okay; Phew... that is a better problem to have. The power levels you report are not indicative of heating too fast though. Try a 3S battery setup and see if you like that better. That would be 11.1V after the peak. Either that or some regulation of the input voltage.
Most of the tuning can be done with the coil. Adding a turn will reduce the power draw.
Glad to hear you found a common denominator.
When you say it gets hot, under what conditions? I normally hold the bare unit in my hands. Typically, the start and end bends on the coil will get hot first...
Fastest way to keep vaping is to swap cells. No time at all. I have several quality liion chargers plugged in so this keep the heaters running full time.
