I removed the silver washer and it's now works. It does not work with the washer in tact. Is it okay to run it like this? I'm gonna go hook up the herc and see if it'll get going.

It doesn't light up at all when connected. I'm using the white rod and trying at 7.4 v. It's like it's not making a connection. Can I remove the silver washer that connects the tube to the top?

Thanks for the reply. I did squish the coil it isn't sliding at all anymore. I am not getting results even close to what you are talking about. I've never been able to get vapor I would consider seriously thick.
