Can your coils on an sr74x become over saturated? I got another set of aw's to power my herc I've been having problems with. It is now heating consistently but it isn't producing clouds, very weak pulls instead. When I heat it with the mouthpiece unscrewed I can see the tip of the rod bubbling...

I just put those batteries on the charger and they are dead. They're recharging now let me see what happens after they charge again. Maybe it's been the batteries all along?

Inconsistent heating and small draws when it does heat have been my main problems. Gary has been helpful. I'm sure I'm still in the learning curve and I'll get the hang of it.

I'm on the verge of giving up on the herc. It is a constant problem and I have not been able to get it to properly function. Now my fully charged battery just fades out and doesn't heat the herc. Ill stick to the kiss carts and look forward to the okeanos but the Hercules is not for me.

What angle of use produces best results?

I've noticed my coil above the rod many times. I push it down with a toothpick and its works better. Can I use two coils to keep it from sliding?

7.4 and I've got the recommended aw's. Gary has been on to help dial me in I'm just getting inconsistent results. I'm certain it's user error and I'll love this thing when I get the hang of it.

Victory! I pulled the rod down about another mm and tightened the clamp more firmly. It is heating up nicely and delivering giant draws. I ,too, was surprised when my upgraded 74 came in, I really like the non threaded top. I can't wait to spend more time with the herc and finally master it...

My herc is back to not heating up. I'm gonna recharge the batteries and get back to it tomorrow. I'm using the aw's that are recommended.

Thanks for the helpful advice. After removing the oil and running back through I am getting massive pulls. The flavor is fantastic too. My top goes out at 15 seconds. I can't hold it down longer than that. It's actually perfect but I'm not sure if it supposed to do that or if you are supposed...

I unscrewed the base and there is probably .25 of oil down there. I cleared that out and I fiddled with the pin and rod. It's heating up now but I think I put too much wax in initially. My coil is very saturated.
