The Herc does not take very long to learn and you can get GREAT hits from it once you have it down. I haven't personally tried to load 1g into it yet, but it can definitely handle it. Of course you would have to make sure to properly cool it after hits so it does not leak.

If you have a multimeter you can test the resistance of the rod by touching the black probe on the metal part closer to the burnt looking side and touch the positive on the bottom metal on the rod. I don't think you can burn out that rod so easily. test the rod on its own though...

The first one messed up before I had done anything with the button so I think it's something else. Oh well..is that spring something I can order from you guys? Im sure once we get 71 bottom adapters ot shouldn't be an issue, but I'd like to fix this one if it's possible...and...
Nope ,that one is fine. The sr74 adapter bottom spring is the one I meant. Lol it would've been bad if the other one messed up. But anyways, thanks for the quick reply. Why do you think my other 74 adapters lost there springyness?
Honestly I'm not sure how. The bottom pin that makes contact with the 8 no longer springs back out so it doesn't make a good connection anymore. I assumed it was because it was being pressed in too much by the top pin on the 8. I could be wrong though. The second one stopped working after one...
good morning! quick question..do you have an ETA on the replacement sr71 bottom adapters? I believe that my 8 keeps collapsing the spring on the bottom spring. The first adapter I got the bottom adapter stopped working for the same reason. I just got it replaced and after one day it also lost...
Do you have any replacement parts for the 8? I was looking for the white plastic housing for the button adjustment screw. Mine still works, but since it melted a little I thought I'd replace it.
Since I added the wire to my button a few days ago. I have not had any issues with the 8 or the herc sr74. I'm using the heating chamber directly on the 8 since the sr74 bottom adapter isn't working. It fires every time and seems to heat up faster.
I'm on the waiting list to get a replacement sr71 bottom adapter from you because of the issues with the sr74 adapter on the 8. I was planning on getting a nibbler xl when theyre back in stock, but I was wondering if it would work with the sr71 adapter you are provinding?
This is what i did and so far it's been working without having to adjust anything. Again don't know if you guys should do this. Worked for me though:rockon:
My o rings are fine. I don't see how that would affect it, maybe the way the it sits inside the slot. I thought they were just there to secure the pins in the slots and not allow any side to side movement. I could be wrong though.
