I got my sr71 yesterday. So far I'm liking it better than my 74. Heat up times are much faster and it seems to fire all the time. I'm already using the new button assembly.
I was having problems with the sr74 bottom adapter so I ordered a 71 type of adapter, but this one still has grooves for...
yup same reason I dont use the sr74x parts, the AAF has to much space to move around. Don't know if that is normal but I've been using the regular sr74 parts with the sr74x threadless top cap.
With my new button assembly at first I had to put a bit of pressure not as much as the old button but still needed some additional pressure regardless. I back out the button screw just a little bit so the button would travel deeper in. Now I don't have to apply much pressure at all and also...
lol G initially had four new button assembly's that he sent out to the first four people reporting problems with their 8. I think more are in production. These new button assembly seemed to have fixed the issues people were having with their button including myself.
Hmm I think it's just a regular core insert but the size of a 18350 so it is shorter. It doesn't charge. I have a regular core so that's what I think lol
Yes with the sr71 bottom adapter it didn't fire until I adjusted the two nuts on the centerpin. They are almost flush with the top of the pin just a few mm up. Now it works everytime:tup:
Are you using the New button assembly? I had to mess with the two nuts on the top pin to get it going. Im using a herc sr74 with 71 bottom adapter though.
So I decided to go home and pick mine up during lunch. This definitely fixed my issues. You do need good pressure on the button, but it's wayyyy easier than before. I want to thank G and his team for getting this fixed this fast. I will keep on using and will update you guys.
Mine is supposed to be here today. I'm stuck at work until 5 so I won't be able to test until then. Is there any difference with the two gold pins or the screw?
