Wait, what?
Define efficiency, not to be an arsehole but we need to define our terms and I could go no further.
Efficient compared to smoking - I just don't agree, even vaping almost 100% of the time. A rapid temperature gradient has yet to be replicated in my opinion, it is as much a...
vapormed.de was their old website, they're just marketing it to a different audience Been watching it for months since they announced a new website a while back, so saw the Medic come online a while back.
How are you inhaling? Read the manual - you should be toking slow and long, like drinking a thickshake. Lots of great posts earlier in the thread on this topic, there's a bit of a technique to learn but once you've got it down the iolite rocks (barring QA issues a few people have experienced).
Never heard of poor quality butane *ruining* an iolite, it just doesn't burn efficiently and can leave residue. Simply purge and refill with good quality butane and it'll sort itself out. You'll know if it's poor butane within seconds.
It's worth pursuing, that's all I'm saying. I'm sure if...
Don't have any answers for you mate, just a solution: get some stainless steel fishing wire (7 strand is nice and flexible), and a stainless steel wire crimp (also from a fishing supply store).
Loop it through the top-most vent near the bowl, then loop around the mouthpiece stem and crimp in...
Sounds good Luke, but bloody hell 5 kitties now?
I'm going to start stocking the iolites and VHW's very soon, so we'll get the price down for us Aussies - I won't pimp the online store until it's up but stay tuned mate.
Luke you can drop Mark an email at headvripper@vriptech.com You will love the VHW, though you may want to explore a GonG alternative the the VWT and pick up a Blazemaster bowl to bring the cost down.
Also highly recommend the iolite mate :D
Yep it's pretty easy - inhale long and slow. That's it!
Their QA could certainly be improved (stems) but I reckon 90% of people reporting problems or dissatisfaction is because they're using it wrong.
Each roll of bag has a strip of the cellophane that you tear out and use as a tie. Just cut a short length and do a couple of double knots on the end of your bag for a perfect, air-tight seal.
Yeah Coopers Sparkling is ok, their Pale Ale is a longtime favorite of mine but we've had an explosion of boutique beers down here in the last 5 years so there's plenty of new ones to distract you from the usuals :)
Sounds like you're pulling too hard then, long slow tokes are the way to go with the iolite - it's a very short airstream so quick strong tokes and your temp will be pretty variable and not as consistent a result.
Hmmm got to represent some semblance of Aussie beers then ;)
