Not my argument. I've got a 2 piece Space Case and have also tried upside down with the 4 piece (recommended it to others in fact). A plastic grinder with shark teeth gives a finer, more consistent grind imho.
Undoubtedly.
The variables have got to be surface area exposed, decarboxylation, airflow rate, depth of material (causing temp gradients and affecting decarboxylation and boil off), rate of extraction with respect to different terpenoids flavinoids and cannabinoids - they each affect the high...
Nah mate same here. The best grinder I've used was a cheap $5 plastic one, better than S&B's grinder and both were better grinders than the Space Case 4 piece I bought recently. Shark toothed with minimal gaps between the teeth blades - wins every time when you're looking for a fine grind...
I've not tried any of those except for the earlier model VWT and Valloon from Vriptech. I reckon it would be a tossup between their new heat wand and the Volcano, maximum flavour in my opinion comes from accurate, repeatable and fine-grained control of temperature. If those other models can...
Ditto :uhoh:
Highly recommend listening to Thergothon (edit: not Finland's "Unholy" like I originally said, but also very good!) while very, very high. Slow doom metal, like the atmosphere congealed into thick sludge and time has stopped. It's trancendental and meditative :D
Also...
I suspect they start to leak out eventually, but without airflow it would be pretty minor and subtle. I've never seen any visible vapor leaking. I reckon the bigger problem would be degradation and oxidation of the vapor once it had boiled off. I've left mine running 3-4 cycles in between...
A lanyard hole at the top of the unit.
It would be really, really handy to be able to have a wrist-strap to secure the iolite like a digital camera, or hang it around your neck.
Some kind of locking mechanism for the bowl
Every newbie I've seen picks it up by the mouthpiece stem unless shown...
Fascinating stuff guys I've been thinking about this and keeping an eye on Hippie Dickie's posts over the years, been planning to try some of this myself but haven't had time for it until now.
Has anyone tried using the iolite as a base unit providing heat, and replacing the bimetallic with a...
kalinga: any chance we could get some closeups of both sides? I've only seen an iolite briefly but I'm wondering how the unit is held together - is there a service screw underneath one of the labels? I'd like to take one apart and post some internals here on the site, and maybe look into...
A few years back there were a group of Australian researchers who claimed they were working on an ultrasonic vapouriser for medical cannabis. I'll try to find the link........ got it...
