Magnets usually do not work on stainless steel. Maybe use a commercial type vac? Like the Ridgid brand ones at Home Depot. Return it after. Lol those balls won't damage those vacs

I think THCSCIENTIFIC meant SR74 WHITE rod is 2.3 standard. BLACK is around .9

With crumbles I find I have to push the material down a few times during priming. If not I get wispy hits as the crumble gets stuck on the chamber walls. Once I push it down to contact the coil I get good hits with good amount if heat. I will try the tip of using a slight incline with outside heat.

I am sure a lot of hercules sr74 experienced operators want a SR71 1.5 ohm style rod for our 74s! Hard to find a herc SR71 for sale. Everyone hangs on to them. Paired with a iris we have a awesome power combo. Sometimes I have some trouble melting crumble. Would be nice to have reduced button time.

BMW makes good engines but you must maintain it religiously. You see it's the supporting equipment that make BMW long term reliability sketchy. For example cooling system. Cheap hoses and too much plastic cause future cooling problems. I was a mechanic for a few good years. Seen these problems...

Go with the PERSEI/ hercules kit. U have the safety features with the PERSEI. Very important if you are learning how to use the Hercules.

20 seconds is a lot of warm up time. Me thinks your rod placement is the culprit. How many watts ur iris showing during warm up? I have a sr74 which is less powerful than the sr71. It takes me about 5-6 seconds to get CLOUDS from a COLD START.
