Just ordered one of Ed's stems. They look great and it will be the perfect stem for when out and about, much less breakable.

Yeah, I saw that video. It still appears that it may be difficult to clean after some daily use. When I see how quickly and thoroughly my solo stems get gunked up, this is what has me worried about trying to clean a chamber in the DV with out being able to remove the top.

I load my up about 80% full, not packed at all. Use a medium grind.

Very enjoyable review, DF. For me, the large size chamber is a bit of a problem. It would be interesting to see some sort of mini-chamber accessory. It seems fiddly to mess about with the concentrate pad between loads.

Normally, I just stir or shake up the bowl. I have tried crunching up the load in the palm of my hand about 1/2 way through. That yields a few more hits, but the taste normally isn't that great, so I don't bother.

You might want to try a slightly courser grind. The grind that works best for me in the thermovape is roughly BB size.

Same here. I find the vapor to be nice, thick and smooth on setting 4.

I don't think this should really be an issue. I normally to start sessions off on the solo at number 4 and my unit (M106) heats up from cold in about a minute or slightly less.

This is a brilliant suggestion. I have also found it is difficult to search for specific information without spending an inordinate amount of time. This has only been a problem for me in the really long threads.

Could there be an issue with the battery charger? Sounds like an abnormally high number of battery problem.

My M106 was very tight as well. Now it is nice and snug, but fits in well. I really would not like to have one with a very loose fit.

I don't find anything that uses a flame very stealthy. Using something with a flame would appear to be smoking something. MFLB would be much more discrete. :2c:

I agree. If I had to pick only one, it would probably be the solo. However, I don't think the Solo is at all suitable for stealth use. For max stealth, it is hard to beat the MFLB or the Thermovape. I prefer the Thermovape, but it is a bit on the expensive side. Perhaps go for the Solo and...

I haven't noticed vapor "streaming" out of the solo while it is sitting. Maybe a little wisp now and then, but I haven't noticed any steady stream blowing out.

It will be interesting to see if anyone gets a stinky M106 or M107. I am very pleased that my M106 is fine. Not a whiff of robo-fart so far (only 5 days in).
