Really looking forward to placing my order for the miniVAP within the next few days! Really getting excited about the getting my hands on it. I'm very excited at being one of the first to have the 2013 version. :D
You might want to check out the Pax thread. There are quite a few posts mentioning the smell when it is turned on and heating. If you are concerned about smell, I think the Thermovape products could be a solution. As they are convection vaporizers, the load is only getting hot whilst one is...
I can't speak to the Pax, but the Davinci has quite a bit of smell while it is turned on. I don't think one could get away with hitting it during class.
I keep a MFLB in the office for sneaky tokes from time to time. The Launch Box heats up quickly and drops temps quickly after the battery...
Thanks for your review/impressions JCat. I am getting really fired up about this vape and plan to order it sometime this week. It looks like the rest of my stable is going to get much use after this thing arrives.
looks like it shaping up to be a good year for vaporizers. I'm about to pull the trigger on the miniVAP and if the reviews are good on the Ascent, I'll be right in there, too.
No recommendations. None of the vapes I have would be good for oils or full melts. You would be probably better off looking for something specifically designs for this application. A friend of mine raves about his Thermovape Dart and I would expect that their new Cera would fit the bill...
A very interesting and informative review, Dopefiend. I am still sitting on the fence on this one. I have contacted the manufacturer about a few questions I have with regards to cleaning the unit, etc. Hopefully, he will give me a reply soon. If the price was cheaper, I would have just gone...
Really looking forward to the review. The more I look at this thing, the more I like it. It is a bit pricey, but in the great scheme of life, not too bad if one can get a good few years out of it without any problems.
The solo has quite a restricted draw. I find that the best technique for me is to hit it much like one hits a cigar. Little puffs using the cheeks and then inhale. Imagine drinking a very thick milk shake.
It has been quite a while since I've peaked into this thread. A quick question: Have they started offering the Pax to customer outside of North America?
looking forward to seeing the reviews on this unit. I was one of the earliest T1 adopters and initially quite enthusiastic about the product, but seldom use it anymore. It is a bit too finicky compared to my other vapes.
