Check out the supplementary Auber manual, it has an adjustable auto-shutoff feature which I believe is enabled by default @ 60 min (although I seem to recall mine being more like 120 min): http://auberins.com/images/Manual/RDK-300_supplementary.pdf
I still switch back and forth every so often but I'd say I have it unclipped 80-90% of the time now.
As of last night, yes  I was using a little Zoda rig which I love the design of, but the function wasn't spectacular. I figured a daily driver needs to have that special oomph. :sherlock:
So I had Whitney Harmon put together a set for my little zen garden dab station (rig, q-tip holder, and carb cap). I didn't give him much to go on, just a picture of the area and that I'd like it to "at first glance, not look like a dab rig". I think he knocked it out of the park with the...
Had the same problem with mine, until I discovered DNail's pinout is actually slightly different than "standard" even though I found more than a couple places that advertised it as such. If I remember right, it was the polarity of the thermocouple that was reversed... or something along those...
So here's the deal, I just bought this little rig last week from @saritaglass. However, I was hit with an unexpected medical bill so I unfortunately need to part ways with it. It's in perfect condition, only used twice to give it a proper welcome. Including a 10mm opaque banger and Quartz Pi...
This is pretty much what I wanted to say as well. IF all other conditions are the same, the return rate won't change, it's more of a matter of fitting more material into one pressing. Getting consistent results is the other half of that equation, which encompasses more than just yield.
Man, that's the path I went down and as much as I love the VRod, I wholeheartedly endorse separate rigs for flower and concentrates these days. The VRod is one of those things that does pretty well at two tasks... But there really isn't anything like having a dedicated dab rig.
If I could...
I use the If You Care brand, haven't had any issues with tearing, but it is unbleached.
I've wanted to try PTFE sheets but have heard they can make collection a pain.
Amazon has a limited sale on it right now too!

Reviews seem to say it doesn't heat as well as just maintaining a temp, though.
Cool, thanks for the info, I'll test that with my temp gun. Don't think I'd have any reason to keep it running longer than an hour at a time, especially once the sauce plate gets here. Sounds like the HR10t35v is probably the better option of the two for people trying to crank out large...
Ahhh good point. And I vaguely recall some discussion of that now... does Dabpress (or maybe another company) have data for the implications of that extra heat? I know there are a few companies out there with a similar design/orientation. Does it drastically reduce the lifecycle of the...
I love the concept here, it's something I could see myself toting between the garage and different rooms in the house... but it'd have to be quite a bit smaller/sleeker for me to consider it as a replacement for my banger/coil setup. I wonder if the MaxVapor internals might afford a bit more...
